Dinner @ Marche VivoCity after the short trip to Sentosa. Needless to say, long queue ahead and that suddenly made me realize that Singaporeans are quite willing to queue for food, its almost like a culture, to eat, just queue first. Unlike me, I would rather search for some other restaurants, waiting for food is just a no-no and I think the same goes for most Malaysians, right? Back to the queue, the restaurant actually serve tidbits and drinks to the waiting customers, free of charge, which I find is a very pleasant gesture. But overall, I felt that the variety of food is quite limited here, if compared to the branch @ TheCurve, Malaysia and the layout, with all the narrow walking spaces, a little too cramped to my liking. Oh, and instead of the cardboard passport, they've implemented the Touch Card system here, a lot more convenient to carry around while hunting for food.
Fully packed to the max! We were seated in a sectionized area, away from all the narrow walkways, fortunately. But still, I had to be extra careful in order to avoid knocking into others.
I think this is called Rosti but I'm not sure, hahahas. It reminds me of the malay delicacy, yellow in colour, and in the end its wrapped into a bundle.
The girlfriend had these, some pasta thingy where the cream was too strong with some veggy (leek, I think) taste. Had to removed tons of those in a spoonful, dang.
Smoked Salmon. According to others, it tasted alright. I dunch know, didn't feel like eating salmon that day.
Roasted half-chicken. As you can see, here, instead of serving mashed potatoes as a side-dish, its bread with sprinkle of herbs for flavouring.
Cheese stuffed sausages. All I can say is, its yummier than the Ayamas ones back in KL, could fare better with more cheese.
Grilled chicken breast. Its easy to spot who's the health-conscious one, eh?
And now, ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, ze fried pork knuckle. Needless to say, this dish is belongs to me, the glutton. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, would be perfect if the portion was larger. And the bread, its like a baguette gone soft.
Chocolate cake for dessert, anyone? Even with the 5 of us, the cake was nearly left untouched, most of us were already stuffed to the brink of exploding. However, the cake's still a must because...
It's her birthday yo! I hope I won't get a bashing for putting this picture up, hahahas. Interested? For more information, please click here.
