Gagal.

The hunt for the lowest price possible was called off with the target finally determined. The objective is to further push the price to a ridiculously low level using our bargaining chip - the quantity plus one major purchase - to get more with less, that's what everyone says. Oh, not forgetting, or course, with sheer bargaining power as well.

But, but, but... lady luck was just not by our side tonight, as the person we intended to deal with (price already negotiated by Jen) was nowhere to be found - which we later found out has already left for home. As if that is not bad enough, we were approached by the worst sales assistant possible in the whole wide world - which I later found out to be of female - and we all assumed she was the lady boss - hence the attitude.

Dah lah quote super expensive, summore say this cannot do, that cannot do - going way below the cost kind of bullshit stuff - seriously, if I am a first time customer, I swear on my 400D I would not return to this shop forever-eh-ever, forever-eh-ever. Tak kasi chance langsung loh I tell you - where got people do business like that one.

Therefore, the mission 50-50-50-50-50-50 gagal-ed on this faithful Halloween Friday night.

No Updates?

Sorry - In really busy mode - please do not disturb.

About Disgaea DS - you assume the role of a Demon Prince, Laharl - who has been in slumber for the past 2 years - only to learn of his father's death upon awaking. He then sets out to quell the many demons vying for the position of the Overlord - something like the boss position in the demonic realm of the Netherworld - which is righfully his. Sounds like serious stuff eh?

In actual fact, its not - the gameplay is ladened with comedy - if you are able to appreciate them that is, wacky facial expressions, humourous dialogues, addictive gameplay and not forgetting the truckload of different side quests that would glue you to the DS for many, many, many hours.

The sidequests - you can summon the Dark Assembly to create or delete characters, call for a forum to vote for new proposals and take promotion tests to increase your ranking. Then you can enter the Item World - which is basically your items, to defeat 10 level of Dungeons - a must! - to increase its stats. The thing is, you can re-enter the dungeons as many times as you want - hence, you can end up with a super-super weapon but beware, the higher the level of the item, the more powerful the enemies are.

Not forgetting the bonus gauge = free items - the fastest way to fill the gauge is to play around with Geo Symbols - a pyramid like item which provides additional stats - can be either positive or negative - on the same coloured tiles it is located on. I hate enemy boost - cilakaks.

Hence, if you own an NDS and enjoys strategy RPG - you should really give this game a go.

Deepavali.

Happy Deepavali to all. Mine is happy, how bout yours?

Monday morning was spent waiting for people, Monday afternoon watching Bollywood movies - not that I understand anyway but that's what makes it funnier - and stuffing myself crazy at Rames's house, Monday evening sleeping cause the weather made me feel sick and Monday night dreading to go to work the next day.

And many thanks to Rames, I am now suffering from an overdose of Muruku, Putu Mayam, Mutton Curry and Mango Juice. Terima kasih once again.

On a totally different note, can I has the new Nissan GT-R pretty please? Drools... Desire caused by documentary of the abovementioned supercar seen on the Discovery channel. But Jac has voiced her upmost dismay at my already extremely slight possibility of owning the GT-R - huhuhu *tears of disappointment*. This little bugger has a price tag of about SGD 270,000 over there and a direct conversion would put it roughly around RM 647,000. I can totally understand her being upset on my purchase plan, with that sum of moolah - she probably swim in a tub of LV bags *continues drooling anyway*

Workstation.

Most fortunately, instead of packing each and everyone of us into meeting rooms or limited working areas ala canned sardines, the client decided to provide us with proper personal working areas - cubicles yay! - though some still on a sharing basis, me thinks.

Most unfortunately, the location of my cubicle ain't exactly that strategic - droves of client as well as colleagues passing by - being able to catch glimpses of my screen. Not forgetting to mention, the heat - somehow the air conditioning just doesn't work that well around my area - beware of the heat zone!

And above is a picture of my work area, just a fraction of it actually. A DELL Inspiron 640m to get me through the daily design and coding tasks and that's not the blue screen of death you see btw, its just a disk scan scheduled accidentally some time back, running after a restart as configured. And that scanning - 5 loops in total - gave me enough of idle time to probably drive to Seremban for some Siew Paus.

On the left would be the free laptop bag that I got during one of those TechEd sessions way back then, followed by the wallet - a birthday present from Jac also way back then and lastly, my trusted ol' coffee cup - the word COFFEE is embedded quite contrastly there to remind me to have coffee as much as possible when away from Jac, yummies.

On the right would be a retractable mouse which is pretty convenient especially when you're using a laptop and to the right of it, a note book used during meetings - I still write faster than I could type, also meetings sometime lasts longer than the battery.

Those pin-ups you see in the background would be tasks pending to be completed, the colour of the pins denotes the urgency/severity of it - smart right? Of course you can't read anything, it has been blurred for a purpose but then again, not like one would be able to understand what has been written - lols.

Just recently, we have been given these 'name-tag' likes print out to be displayed on our work areas - the purpose, easier for the clients to identify us - nothing wrong with the practice actually, its just the colour as well as the design. Kinda reminds me of the writings I see on 'batu nisans' (gravestones/headstones/tombstones) in chinese cemeteries. Eerie, ain't it?

Since I'm lazy to photoshop the image above accordingly, use your imagination to place a black and white portrait of me smiling plus a my date of birth plus an end date - I expected myself to die at the age of 70, so please calculate accordingly. Some random chinese characters which is a must although my guess is 90% of the people around me then knows nothing of what is written. Perhaps I can put some quotes on it as well, like - I shall be back - lols.

Wedding Bells Are Ringing.

Its just a little less than a month away. If you ask me how I'm feeling right now, I can honestly tell you that the excitement, anxiety and not forgetting, the WORRIES have really started to kick in. There's the usual OMGs there's so much left to do with so little time but no idea where to begin - also the waliao still got so much stuff to pay for but where to get the money borrow from loan shark meh no lah just kidding.

I think it would be much easier (not forgetting to mention - much safer) for me to set-up a Donate to Jed's Marriage foundatin - which actually has already been around for quite sometime but has been receiving very cold response - than approaching the lintah darats, LOLS.

Or maybe I can even start my very own line of marriage-loans to help ease the financial burden of those planning to get married but having a headache thinking about all those money to fork out - lowest interest guaranteed. Not only that, can also rope in restaurants, bridal houses to chip in discount vouchers to be given away to loan applicants - depending on the amount borrowed. Also can provide contacts for freelance photographers, videographers, make-up artises once loan approved and all that.

Fuh - *starts searching for and approaching potential investors*

Anyway, the countdown begins till the big day, roughly just 29 days to go...

Kecoh.

So, I was browsing through the papers the other day when I suddenly came across an advertisement from AirAsia stating the price of tickets to Bali from KL-LCCT at only RM130! I went OH SHIT this is not happening to me and went into the WTF mode since I bought my tickets at a much higher price.

Then I ter-remembered that there's an option to reschedule my bookings so I pushed aside my lunch, booted my PC, logged into my account and click on the Check & Change option in the website.

To my horror - which at the same moment my excitement was crushed, instead of being cheaper, the fare actually increased. Oh, did you know, on the day I confirmed my flight, if I had done it earlier - before instead of after lunch hour, I would have been able to save more than a hundred ringgit on the fares - Sigh. Why lah the price suddenly increase.

Anyhow, I double-checked with the AD again thinking that there might be some flying or promotion period or limited seats clause but eelek, nothing on those at all. So, I played around with the dates a little but everything still seem pretty much the same. I gave up, the promotion was just not meant for me.

I took a look at the Ad for one last time and all of a sudden, the word which somehow managed to escape my sight (perhaps due to selective reading, lols) for so many reads just now has finally been discovered! It reads, prices starting - normal font - FROM - smallest font and RM 130 at big-ass font.

Assumed seating position and returned to my lunch. Potong steam,

Its Funny.

When the person persuading you to stay is leaving earlier than you are. I guess, such is the irony of life.

Jac got addicted to ABBA songs after watching Mamma Mia on the big screen - I personally did not enjoy that movie as much as others did, gives me the shivers at times - I prefer HairSpray, might be due to the dancing(s). Or perhaps the action-packed Eagle Eye few hours beforehand killed it for me. I could find a thousand reasons (for disliking) more but I shall just conclude it as, just not my cup of tea.

Back to her addiction, she used to play the ABBA classic or gold hits or something like that 'borrowed' from her Dad but now, its the movie's original soundtrack itself. I have to bear with this repetitive torment everytime I got into her car - might be one of her master plans to get me driving more as she has been complaining constantly about her increasing mileage.

I have nothing against ABBA songs, they catchy and nice to the ears but after listening to Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream, Take a Chance On Me for like a million over times, it just gets to your nerves - and blood pressure.

You have absolutely no idea on how many things are ongoing and going through my mind lately, makes me feel lost and stoned at times. Some can be revealed, such as the delivery of furnitures for our room, progress of the house, the wedding ceremony - more headaches to come - as well as dinner - who ever has yet to reply to my invitation, better do so before I strangle you to death, the very last minute plans for honeymoon, the deadlines at work, the ever demanding Mum who initially agreed to have the wedding ceremony as simple as possible, so on and so forth because I could list a hundred more.

Then there's the events that shall be revealed in due time though some already know of it but I would prefer to let it unfold on its own like a morning glory blooming in the presence of daylight fuahhhhh...

Sekian berita, salam mesra.

NKOTB.

Men and GentleLadies, may I proudly present to you, the New Kit On The Block (NKOTB) - SeaGate FreeAgent (TM) Go, finally purchased after months of contemplating and serious considerations. Yes, I know its just an external USB HDD but I'm like that.

I got the 250GB one which is quite ample by my standard - supposed to come in Silver, Black, Red and Blue but the time I got it from Low Yat, only the silver and black was available. Anyways, its time for me to say hello to days of mobile porn storage space! Gimmes alls yer stuffs nows, I wants thems *plugs in and copies/downloads*.

Come to think of it, my external storage is now even more than all my internal HDDs combined and to be more accurate, it's actually more than doubled the storage space:
- Internal: 40GB + 80GB = 120GB
- External: 40GB + 250GB + 4GB = 294GB

Almost the whole of last week was spent searching for a proper accomodation in Bali - currently still ongoing - because a similar 'not-worth-it' reaction from the likes of family and friends caused a change of mind, yes, I am fickle like that. The thing about searching online is definitely reliability. You're looking for the best deals but when its too cheap, you'll get suspicious and too expensive, you'll shun away - and the cycle goes on and on and on, die loh like that...

At least I'm done with the flight - come to worst, we'll just bunk at some budget hotel, for sure would be able to find one since November is neither the High nor Peak season hua-hua-hua.

Jed is Angry.

Again because there are just too many *inserts a word of foulness of interest* variety of rooms, chalets, villas, hotels, bungalows in Bali!!! How to choose lah you tell me... huhuhu. Enough said. Deciding on the location is already hard enough, then need to compare all the prices and packages and facilities waliao-weh! Then don't know all the information reliable or not go and read previous customer's reviews summore *faints*.

Should really consider charging Jac for making me go through all of this because always last minute have a change of mind - last time say nevermind the following year go HK count as the honeymoon then now say better go somewhere to spend time together right after wedding cis! cis! cis!

*looks at previous post to calm down, takes a deep breathe and continues searching and researching in vain*

Kiutness Overload!

Received this mail from Jac (dear, please stop spamming my work-mail alright?) sometime back and was totally overwhelmed by her cuteness - so, be warned alright? Credits to the person/photographer/official who took these photographs and also to the individuals who edited them (if any). Should there be a requirement for me to take them off this post, do inform me and don't sue me directly okay thank you very much. Title of the e-mail, Princess Aiko of Japan.

OMG SO KIUT!

SO, SO KIUT!

KIUTSSSSS!

OVERDOSE *dies*

KEOVER-KIUTNESS YANG MELAMPAU!

In total there's like 12 pictures ler, all equivalently cute-can-die level. If you feel like indulging in her cuteness everyday as well, do tell and I shall be more than glad to forwards the pictures to you, arigato gozaemas. KIUTNESS is a CRIME!

The Day That Was 10.10.08.

In the wee hours of the morning I stood awaken, yet to take a firm decision on the matter on hand - oh well, I still have time until evening, no point rushing things I guess. I always tend to think too much, weighing the pros and cons over and over again even for the simplest stuff - but then, that's just me being myself *does the thinker pose*.

Might be one of the reasons why I am getting more and more strands of white hair, according to Mum and Jac.

The word YES and NO kept replaying in my head - early in the morning, it was a NO - then a YES a little later, a NO just before lunch then a YES right after lunch. My mind was so occupied with this one single decision to make that couldn't even think right and was stoned for almost the whole day. Boo... It was not until late evening - after chancing upon a series of unfortunate events that kinda left a bad taste in my mouth - finally led me to a conclusion.

I left a little earlier than usual but an unforeseen traffic congestion, probably due to the officers chit-chatting at the intersection instead of controlling the traffic flow, which almost cause me an unfavourible impression, sigh. A favour from a friend and a rushed through registration later, I was stood there, took a deep breath and pressed on the little green button on the wall.

The moment I stepped in, I know that all I can do now is to keep my finger crossed on this decision that I have made, hoping that I shall never have any regrets on it - for from this moment on, there shall be no one but myself to blame for taking this path.

Once everything was done, I headed to a certain location only to bump into Hiew beforehand and later on "bumping" into Jen and Rames before being "bumped into" by Jacklyn, Adrian and Junn. Ah, how we were very much fated to meet in Sushi King on that Night, kan?

Ze Mattress Hunt.

I had the assumption that it would be a fairly simple process, like, you know, look at designs, compare prices, meenee-meenee-mainee-moo and you're done, something similar to dining table or a wardrobe set or a bed frame selection. Perhaps, plus a little bit of user acceptance tests as well (as recommended by many mattress buying guide 101 - which I only came to know of much later). Well, I can tell you that I will never ever be more wrong than this! Below accounts the steps that I went through before finally arriving to a decision.

Step One: Deciding on where to get the mattress
I don't seem to be able to recall why in the world did we not get the mattress together with the bedroom + wardrobe set. So, it was either back to the Furniture Mall or some furniture shop that my parents has been dealing with for a long time since Mum was planning to get some stuff as well, bundled delivery = cheaper. In the end, it was the furniture shop, hence, no testing.

Step Two: Deciding on the brand
There's Slumberland, Dreamland, Vono, KingKoil, Getha, Dunlopillo, Wtfgotsomanybrands or mattresses that comes with water, feather, etc. Hello I just want something comfortable to sleep on so f**k the brand lah. Some Fatherly advice was seeked, KingKoil recommended due to dunno-whatever-coil which is supposed to be good stuff. Also to get something with pocket springs (I only know something that is the other way round - in cantonese), whatever that means.

Step Three: Comparing the price
O.M.G! Even after the best buy deals plus a personal discount from the shop owner - hehe - pocket spring mattresses still costs a bomb! Make that two! I know, I know, a good night sleep is very important, blah-blah, should invest more on the mattress, blah-blah, more friction resistance less noise when *ahems* blah-blah. But 4K plus is still insane - the chinese in me almost vomitted blood and died. And 14 inch of thickness, how the hell am I supposed to get the bedsheet, stitch myself ah?

So, we settled for something else more affordable for poor-old-me instead - which comes the next step.

Step Four: Deciding on the features
Die lah - buy car also no need to go through so many features - what damask ticking later, then everlast foam thing, rubber latex thing, chiropractic coil wtf is this, dunno what quilt latex foam, turn-free technology, argh! Then some comes with similar features but different naming and pricing *faint* Jacklyn pulak go out and buy soya bean drink leave me alone there - tak tolong langsung - and I thought she lovesssss shopping. Angry, angry, angry!

Step Five: Downpayment
Much, much questions later, finally managed to settle for one that is recommended yet affordable, too bad cannot test. Paid the downpayment then headed home happy yay!

Step Six: Sudden uneasy feeling
Due to a certain feature - called the shopowner to enquire on the thickness of the mattress - 11 inch. Reached home, measured the bedsheet set that Jac bought for a bargain and the nightmare comes true - it was too thick - O_o" Called the shopowner the following day to hold the order - had to browse through the whole freaking catalogue again, luckily can find online else need to head to the shop again. Settled for something cheaper with almost similar features - sigh - don't care already lah, comes with 10 years warranty what.

And thus, ladies and gentlemen, ends the mattress hunt ordeal - my advice for all who seeks a mattress - do some research online first then head to those proper mattress sellers, provide the sales personnel with your requirements such as size, price and features - let them do their recommendations. Then, try - I think you're allowed to do so, roll on them if you want to before deciding - confirm comfortable and suitable loh. Mine ah, I guess its a risk I am taking, lols.

Tueday Blues.

Haven't been uploading any photos of late, camera also maciam sedang take long break other than the occasional sessions for that strawberry clothes thingy. On this very day, I've made a decision that might prove to be one drastic turning point for myself and I am keeping everything that is possible to be crossed remain crossed that this would be for better. Nuff bout that, here's another picture of miss soon-to-be-married-over tan.

There's just something special about this picture that I am unable to explain, taken at Venezia, Cheras way back then.

I is back.

Without a vengeance nor a vendetta, nor a virus or viral infection as well, nope no vitamins either okay that's enough.

I think, though I am not really sure, that I've finally come to a point where I lost the penchant for blogging because there has been many a times where I login, click on a new post, stare at it for minutes after minutes then either go to bed or watch TVB series, courtesy of Dad who has been bringing back all these series showing on Astro On Demand.

And I just managed to finish Forensic Heroes II yesterday...

Kay, back to the blog block thing. Usually, the actual cycle would be like this, I surf and hop blogs, enjoys the read, inspired to blog, login, click on new post, sttaarrreeeesssss blankly at screen, types a few words, delete, manage a sentence or two, delete, surf more blogs then decides to do something else, bak kata pepatah, hangat-hangat tahi ayam - a direct translation to English would be heat of a chicken poo. Why chicken and not anything else, I have no idea but a logical explanation would be the duration of heat emitted from chicken poo really lasts just a while, ta dah.

*a sudden revelation* I guess another reason I used to blog more often previously is because I get to do it during working hours, early in the morning when my mind is the fresh and churning ideas rapidly or after working hours because I have nothing else to do upon reaching home, back in Singapore that is *snaps fingers* That must be it!

I've been packed to the extend of almost developing the ability to cause a disruption in the current timeflow to be able to squeeze an extra hour out of 24 for myself, fuh. No worries if you feel a static upon nearing me, I'm just holding back from opening up another time-warp.

Anyway, there's a high chance that a drastic and important change, to me at least, would be occuring by the end of today and I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for it to realize. For now, I am not in a position to reveal what that is but time will tell...

Last but not least, rejoice, for I have returned.

Salam Aidilfitri.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri kepada semua kaum muslimin dan muslimat sekalian, maaf zahir dan batin. And to everyone else, happy holidays. I hope unlike me who had a deadline to meet and was even working on the first and second day from home, y'all took Friday off and had a well deserved break from work or studies.

Oh, I have yet to receive any Raya open house invitations from anyone at all (except from Pak Lah who invited everyone to his open house as seen on TV - takut takde orang nak datang kot sampai nak buat advertisement), how can this be!??! *runs to corner and sulks*
