Ranting Starts. If you're feeling pretty pissed, please be aware that continuation of reading would only lead to your anger being aggravated and mutiplied by 42.
Yesterday's journey was extremely tiring and time consuming. Firstly, the departure was delayed around 10 minutes (which is quite a lot by Aeroline's standards) because apparently, someone lost her ticket and only after much searching and reconfirmation, managed to get it reprinted. By then, traffic was already bumper to bumper, the so-called government sector congestion. Next, came all the highway repairs and extensions that seems to take forever for completion, where all lanes were off limits except for one. Super bottle neck can die dot com dot my. The worst of all was, I forgot to grab a bite before the journey (only had McD Big Breakfast and a Banana Pie in the morning); my stomach probably bit a huge chunk off my kidney, as well as my liver to quell the hunger, and the food served was quite bad. *Envious of her who always get sedaps-sedaps food to eat everytime*
When we finally reach the Pagoh rest area for a quick 20 minutes break, some idiots just had to take their own sweet time for everything. Ended up spending close to 40 minutes there, more than enough time for me to have the Nasi Briyani I was eyeing on. Arrggghhhh! The final delay was at Tuas Checkpoint, where the totally hawt, sexy and attractive passenger who loves Pringles seated next to me wasn't aware that she has to obtain a visa (foreign, I reckon) in order to enter Singapore. What else, denied entry loh. It took quite a while to settle her issue, as we were stranded for quite some time there. Sidetrack. Previously, I always wonder what happens if you're denied entry into SG at Tuas, since there's not a single mode of public transportation, or cabs available there. Finally, found out yesterday that you'll be transported to Woodlands, not particularly sure it'll be FOC.
Upon alighting, for the first time ever, there were no cabs available.
Singapore + No Cabs = Shocking Discovery + WTF!
So I had to lug all my stuff to the nearest taxi stand to get one, only to be greeted by long queues and cabs On Call. I totally gave up after 30 minutes, and took the MRT instead. 9 stations, 2 trains and an interchange later, I was lost. Managed to finally flag a cab much, much walking later only to be informed by the cabbie that he wasn't sure of the exact location. A few phone calls and many, many turnings later, I was finally there. First thing that crossed my mind, the place was hideous and next, there were NO LIFTS!
Singapore + No Lifts = Absolutely, Totally Shocking Discovery + WTF! WTF! WTF!
Had to lug my heavy luggages up the stairs OK! Fortunately, the interior's not that bad after all, renovated quite recently I guess as everything looks brand new. Housemates, a pretty disorganized bunch I guess, its expected from single guys living out but my roommate, practically left a trail of mess on every corner of the room. WTF LAH! Not only that, seems like the AC Unit in my room is pretty emo, it would switch off suddenly, had to head out to the living area and reset the compressor's power outlet in order for it to function again. I was doing that the whole night OMG. Since I'm on a ranting spree, might as well include that this guesthouse is so much further from office, compared to the previous one. So, I have to leave the house 30 minutes earlier, which means less sleep and also pay more for the MRT fare!
Current Jed = Very Unhappy Jed. Ranting Ends.
p/s: Any passer-by from SG with rooms available for rent, around 6 months? Preferbly somewhere close to Jurong East. Please be reminded that I am a stingy person, make that very stingy.
