How?

Most of the vertical images posted here has been cropped because, if I maintained the width of 500px here (and I use 600px for horizontal images), the height would run to 750px which would require a little effort on scrolling before seeing the whole image. Unless you're using like 1280x1024 or 1920x1200 or incredibly high resolutions like 4096×3112. Just kidding, the final figure is for projectors.

Sometimes, I have this cropping versus image size dilemma, to crop would cause the image to lose its perspective and the subject's angle and making it smaller somehow causes the image to lose its appeal. Its like on one hand you're holding a Zinger and on the other, a Chicken McDeluxe but you can only have one.

Susah kan?

Change.

# Have reduced consumption of coffee, switched to hot green tea instead. These OSK tea bags can last up to 3 refills before starting to taste diluted

# No longer snacking on junk food in between meals, hunger pangs = fruits to the rescue

# Have started taking breakfast which consist of a cup of hot Milo when not that hungry or a cup of those 3-in-1 instant oat plus cereal drinks when needing something to fill the stomach(s)

# Random statement: Oat sells Clothes and it rhymes!

# Started doing sit ups and push ups, the strain felt on arms, shoulders and belly/tummy abdomen can be overwhelming at times, maciam itu muscle cramp punya feel. Well, no pain, no gain

# Sleeping earlier, latest by 12.30am. Getting enough rest is one of the key components to a healthy lifestyle

# Have also reduced consumption of cold liquid which according to many is unhealthy hence, no longer refill my bottle with cold plain drinking water (H20 Cold no more)

# No way that I'm giving up ICE-CREAM though, NO WAY! You hear that Jacklyn?!?!! You can take my MAMEE away but you ain't touching my ice-cream!

In Between.

This is Adrian who blogs at adrianclw.diaryland.com. He's also part of a home bakery business that specializes in cakes, named Cake Indigo, that does delivery as well, good stuff (both cakes and service) I tell you. Adrian is seen here holding a Canon 400D equipped with the 50mm f1.8 lens dengan penuh bergaya.

Adrian is also single and available with a charming personality and excellent qualities. He is very highly recommended by the owner of this blog!

Picture was taken during the photo shoot outing last Saturday evening. If you sense some reluctance in his expression, it might be due to the fact that he was forced into posing for this photo, further enhanced by extreme tiredness. But its not always that one would be witness such a beautiful background of the sky in different color tones.

Adrian, someday, you will thank me for forcing you into this one, I know you definitely will.

p/s: On a totally different note, I think I am in need of a diffuser.

Purple.

And just like that, what you see here, is no longer there. Sort of a continuation from here. I return home today to what used to be a patch of wild flowers, now, emptiness. I have to admit that it kinda caught me totally surprised, such coincidences seldom happens to me.

ASOUE.

No, its not Japanese, its just the acronym of A Series of Unfortunate Events that I made up or possibly copied from someone else unknowingly because I just can't be bothered to look it up.

It all started early in the morning and I was in a total rush after having snoozed too many a time as a result of heavy rain. Such wonderful weather is made for sleeping in and no one should be denied the rights to do so, I tell you, no one! I mean, who could actually resist it? Why can't the weekends begin this way? Why?

Since I knew that the rain would definitely cause a massive congestion, I tried to head out as soon as possible and out of all days, the car remote decided to fail on me at that very moment. After 10 - 15 minutes of trying, it finally worked (the spare set did not work either). I was on the verge of using the key to unlock the doors then figure out what to do to disable the alarm.

Barely even getting out of the residential area, I was already stuck in a congestion, one so bad that I was only inching little by little all the way. Upon reaching the office an hour and 15 minutes later, my lovely colleagues told me that the usually super congested Connaught Highway, which I initially thought of using but in the end decided against it, was a breeze to drive on that morning. It was a totally FML moment.

Bagaikan jatuh ditimpa tangga 5 ribu KG.

I needed coffee! I had no idea what got into me but I used tap water and even managed a sip before realizing the mistake. There could be nothing worst than the taste of cold, plain tap water coupled with a powdery coffee sensation in your mouth on a bad morning.

And I had just notified my boss the day before that I had officially changed my working hours to start half an hour earlier, then reaching 15 minutes later than my previous hours set. Sigh... to depressing to continue.

Yellow.

Sometimes, the things that you are seeking the most can be something that is just around you, something that you see or come across every single day, something that is right before your very eyes. But is was something that you never did notice, something you pass by everyday, something that you never pay attention to. You say you're just too busy, you say you have a really tight schedule, you say that can wait, or you just couldn't be bothered. Until its a little too late.

Image taken outside my house, of wild flowers surviving only on what the nature provides without any human care. One day, these flowers would be growing and blooming freely and the very next day, without any warning, cut down.

Being Neat.

Being generally neat, I would say, is an extremely positive attitude and can be quite beneficial too. By keeping your stuff neat, you would know where to look for them when the time comes, instead of ransacking through every drawer and cabinet there is. Or pop the "have you seen" question everyone around you. Or worst of all, request for everyone's assistance to locate the item. No good, no good.

See how you can really save a truck load of time by being neat? Not only that, based on my personal opinion, being neat would somehow give an impression that the person is clean, arranged, punctual, calm and so on.

Hence, your partner/spouse would definitely like that little neat personality in you, so will your family members or parents or relatives, friends as well as colleagues or even, you would not know it, your boss. That is as almost as good as securing your performance bonus for the year.

Whilst being neat is good, being extremely neat would be an "illness" rather than a personality. At times, dealing with such a person would really put your patience to the test, bordering between slightly annoying and irritating. Some examples would be as follow, based on real life encounters:

Scenario 1.
Halfway through reading a book, you decide to head down to get a cup of water. You place the book on the table. You head up with a cup of water to find the book gone. Suspecting it has been kept at the usual spot, you begin searching there. Bingo! The neat freak has struck on its unsuspecting victim once again.

Scenario 2.
You have a piece of receipt from books purchase, hence, deductible from taxation. With the books and receipt still in the carrier, you place everything into the drawer. Much later, upon opening the drawer, the carrier is gone, the books neatly arranged to one side. You inquire the whereabouts of the receipt to no avail, most probably already thrown. The neat freak has struck on its unsuspecting victim once again.

Scenario 3.
Envelopes, bills, receipts, documents, certificates and such cleared from the table and kept without the knowledge of the owner. Upon inquiry, the one who cleared them had no idea or usually forgot where it has been kept. Spent the next half and hour searching for the piece of paper, sigh. The neat freak has struck on its unsuspecting victim once again.

And many, many more scenarios but too lazy (and even too dangerous) to blog them out. Therefore, based solely on my experience and opinion, it can be concluded that while being neat is a good thing, being too neat is definitely a killer. So, are you a neat or a neat freak?

An Outing.

A photography outing, to be more exact. One organized by a particular group I got to know not too long ago. Other than Master Cake Adrian, all the others were total strangers, no issues, you and I were once strangers as well, ain't that right?

It was an evening shoot, at the location where all the government's administrative buildings are located and boy, was it hot and humid over there. There were lots to learn, much were discussed, some skills were taught and others, realized from limitations.

But one thing that really made the whole experience, all the time and energy spent worth while, was when I realize how much I actually enjoy taking photographs. How I squeal with delight within myself, a smile carved on my face, upon pressing the preview button and I see a picture that turn out just the way I had expected it to. How exciting it is to be getting the right angle, at the right time, on the right settings. To have kept my camera inside the bag aside for so long, I almost forgot how it felt, how much it all meant to me.

I have to say that being able to do what you enjoy doing is definitely one of the best feelings a person can ever experience.

A sneak peek. Many, many thanks to those who made this outing possible, you guys (and girls) know who you are, not that they read this blog anyway, lols.

Empty.

You know that...

When you log into your blog upon starting work in the morning and click on the create button, then stared at the screen blankly and still staring blankly at the screen during lunch time.

When you start closing your browsers late in the evening, getting ready to head home and you look at your new post's interface and its still blank

...something is definitely not right.

Facebook has taken over your life. LOLS. Did you see this one coming, tell the truth, aight?

Cacing Buku.

Sorry, been kept really occupied by these babies. So far, I'm done with Rising Sun, The Andromeda Strain (yes, you are indeed seeing 2 copies of it because the one on the left was recent a bundled purchase), Binary, Prey (good stuff), State of Fear, Next, and The Great Train Robbery which I gave up halfway, much too difficult to follow. Just started on Airframe last night.

That 3-in-1 was a secondhand bought in Singapore for $4 dollars, others bought with either discounts or 3 for the price of 2. Ever since finding out about his death sometime back (November last year, due to throat cancer), I've been having this urge to complete the collection of his fiction works. Next was the last book published before his death but it seems that there's still one more completed before his death, scheduled to be published end of this year.

Then there's others like Congo, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Sphere and quite a few more. Wondering where to get them...

7 Years.

Leaving a footprint - on this very day marks the 7th year since we started dating way back in 2002. I think I must have a much higher level of tolerance than I myself thought for us to have lasted that long.

He He He.

p/s: Since we're no longer living apart and she reads my blog, I have to start being more careful of what I write - there's not much locations within the house that I can run to and hide, given my size.

Pasang Almari.

Bought a chest of drawers from IKEA, huge and heavy stuff, struggled shifting it in and out of the car. The wife was in-charge of cleaning them. Yeah, this was really some time back, before we got married and even before we bought the mattress.

Legs, was in the mood for some Jenga action. Most parts can be assembled using screws and bolts, but the back panel required lots of hammering. Totally regretted not borrowing the multifunction electric driller from the FIL, hand almost went numb - too much screwing around. Hehe.

Assembled the drawers then disassembled the drawers, wrong screws used. Fortunately, tiny mistake else would need to tear the whole thing apart. Tested for the smoothness of the drawer's sliding mechanism, pass! Assembled the handles and success!

Yeah right, as if someone would fall for that.

Koff.Koff.Koff.

The wife has been having this terrible cough, which lasts late into the night and starts pretty early in the morning, for the past few days. Not sure if it occurs during her working hours though.

And from this ongoing experience, I learned what it feels like during the early stage of fatherhood. The nagging pain on the gum around my wisdom tooth and the surrounding inner cheek wall could not have arrived on a better time.

KK Doughnuts.

Spotted @ Berjaya Times Square - where Dome used to be. Sigh, there goes my dose of a basket of potato wedges. Seems to be opening @ the 27th this month, one day after my birthday *ahems*taktau malu* More information about some promotion @ everyday.com.my.

I wonder if its opening will initiate another doughnut queuing frenzy in KL again since I've heard quite a bit of good stuff concerning this brand. Let's just hope that they live up to our expectation yet affordable, I know I'm not gonna pay 5 bucks for a piece of flavoured dough.

Satu Batang Sahaja.

Twin Towers, vertically as well as horizontally half, lols. This was taken quite long ago during a poolside BBQ party @ Marc Residences hosted by her ex-boss of her ex-company.

On this very day as well, 04.04.2009, out of a sudden, I received an sms stating I have 4 missed calls from the wife around 14 hours. Sorry but I am quite chinese so a bit pantang lah, hahaha.

Chiong K.

So, the parent-in-law was out of town for some wedding dinner Ching Ming and the wife's youngest sister, also known as Casper to the siao gang ha-ha-ha, her birthday was just around the corner.

The initial plan was to bring her out for dinner in Pavilion but since she suddenly requested to chiong k, so we headed to Neway in Cheras Plaza instead.

Inclusive of the buffet dinner plus 3 hours of singing, it was 42++ per person, which ended at 56 per person, plus-plus indeed. The way the wife put it, the entire 4 hours plus session was like stepping into a Jay Chou (youngest) + Hins Cheung (younger) concert.

Could have been even longer if the wife did not insist on heading home as she was not feeling well.

Me? I did not sing much as I was trying my best to consume 4 persons' worth of food from the buffet spread. NomNomNom YumYum.

April Fool.

Nothing happened, nothing at all.

I did not prank nor was I pranked - not even by the wife, surprisingly. It was just like any other weekday, calm and peaceful even though loaded with work.

The only incident that came pretty close to a pranking, totally based on my own assumption, was a circular from one of the colleagues requesting everyone to be in formal wear the following day, just for fun, no special occasion.

Yeap, the company where I work does not practice formal attire during work, don't be jealous alright?

And I don't feel like doing one here either, so nothing but a simple greeting of Happy April Fool's Day from me then.
