What do you think?

Actually, I wanted to blog about the makan session @ Daorae, the Korean restaurant that Jacklyn simply adores but I just found out that I've copied all the images out of the memory card into my home PC. *screams* How can this happen OMG!

Moving on, I've asked what's the first thing that crossed your mind when looking at that picture of me on the previous post and these are the responses:

1. Carpethair Jiok welcomes me to the club, the fat man club.
2. Kylie the glass doll said that I've become fatter and fatter.
3. Julia did not understand.
4. Others refused to layan my request, so bad.

Funny how everyone commented that I look fat instead of replying to the actual question. *rolls eyes, lift shoulders* Anyway, let me tell you of what it reminded me of. Ready? Here goes nothing...

Yaloh, its the Fatt Choy Mau (Lucky/Prosperity Cat). Everytime I see that picture, the image of the cat with a waving hand keeps popping up in my mind; don't ask me why, I have no idea as well. Maybe its the squintly/slitty eyes... So the next time you see me, donate some money and I shall grant you with a lucky phrase *meow*

Anyway, its the last day of November and tomorrow onwards, it will be December, the final month of 2007. Time really flies. I take a quick look at my wish and resolutions list, let out a long sigh, shook my head a few times and proceeds with my daily life cycle of work, eat and sleep.

Have a Look.

* Click *

Do as mentioned above and you will be directed to Jacklyn's birthday post. Cannot take the picture later she sue me for copyright issues. What I need those of you who clicked that link is to scroll to the final picture, then take a look at ME in it and tell me what's the first thing that crossed your mind when you looked at it! Honestly okay? When I first see it, I was reminded of something instantly! Do tell me okay? Pretty please, please! I will tell you of my impression in the next post, or latest, the following.

Don't keep me waiting alright?

Jed is still very much alive.

yah, so no worries, okay? aha, apologies for the lack of updates recently, more so for those who keeps on refreshing without avail, I shall offer to repaint that F5 key of yours or service the left button on your mouse, totally free of charge. just kidding. the connection at the client's site has been pretty screwy since yesterday, want to update also cannot and just so you know, I spent the last 15 minutes just trying to login.

The other cause behind the sudden silence in Seeds Of Life is also due to a near death experience of its owner suffering from food poisoning. I shall blame it on m!ss s!mple for persuading me to try her order of absolutely horrible lasagna on Friday night! In actual fact, it was not that horrible until she mashed up the whole thing!!! I spent much of Saturday, Sunday and Monday either running to the basin or laying down lifelessly on the bed, accompanied by nothing other than fever, nausea, migraine, vomitting, diarrhoea, pain on joints and bones, loss of appetite, dehydration and so on. I blame myself for being so stubborn as well, not heeding everyone's advice to consult a doctor. I hate taking medications lah and I was so weak that I don't feel like moving unnecessarily.

And why lah I have to kena this shit when finally get to return to KL, ish! Its like you planned and anxiously waited for your holidays to come and when you're finally at the destination, you fall sick. Sucks kan? Don't laugh lah, coming back to KL has really become a quick get-way for me leh... serious!

I think I'm gonna backtrack a few posts as well, just so that November would not be that lonely. Anyway, gotta go for some KT session now, benci!

Vroom! Vroom!

I reached home, took a quick look at the 2nd wife and was immediately able to notice the new scratches on her as informed by Jacklyn. *ahems* To my Horror and utter Disbelieve! Everytime come back sure got something new on her one *sigh* why can't it be like a new sound system or body kits. This time I suspect it was caused by dearest mummy, accidentally when hanging out the clothes to dry; played detective and found traces of paint on the mobile hanging thingy. Hence, so far, the dad, the mum and the Jacklyn have all played their part in 'hurting' the 2nd wife, there must be some master scheme behind all these plots. Why can't y'all live together happily like one big happy family hah?

aha, enough of the nonsense. When I finally get to hit the roads of KL again, I was greeted with a super crazy traffic congestion. Even at the weirdest hour when everyone's supposed to be working/praying, like 1 pm plus on a Friday and there's still looonnngggg stretches of cars everywhere. Found out that it was caused by police roadblocks much, much later. Initially, I had no idea what's with the blocks but suspected another planned peaceful rally/demonstration coming which later proved to be for real :: Hindraf. But honestly, I don't see how by placing roadblocks here and there, it could actually assist the police in minimizing participation of the gathering. Its more of a nuisance.

After which, I met up with Ah Don, uni-mate and also my FYP buddy whom I've not seen for years for a late lunch. He's now either as skinny or even skinnier than Jacklyn, imagine that. Of all things, I guided him into driving on a one-way street, the opposite direction around Leisure Mall, ahaha. The even funnier thing is that, no one bothered to inform us (well, I guess quite a number must have been cursing) until we managed about 80% of that stretch before some cab finally signalled to us of our mistake. ah doi. That bugger did the one thing that I fear most, high speed reverse, OMG my heart nearly fell out of place.

And let's see, on this short trip back to KL, I've managed to drive from Cheras to Sunway, Puchong, Subang, Old Klang Road, heart of KL again and again and again, and many other close-by locations. If not for the diarrhoea, I might have driven to Klang for BKT as well. Total damage, Full tank to nearly Empty, that's around 30+ litres of petrol consumed, fuh. But then again, considering I'm only in KL for like once a month, hence that makes it 30 litres/month, justified. ahaha.

And that, ends the driving saga of Jed in KL. Salam.

Happy Birthday to You!

Happy Birthday to my dearest Jacklyn, hope you had a great time! Cannot blame me for putting this up only now yah! This is due to the fact that all the time that I had was spent in the effort of making your birthday a great and memorable one *cheh wah, kembang sikit dulu*. All the other stuff that I wanna tell you is all in the birthday card, hehehe.

Happy Birthday to You! May your days be filled with joy and laughter always.

Heart Scrabulous.

Just let me bask myself in the spotlight for a little while more. Btw, Junn, its your turn lah wei, want to wait how many donkey years more?

Btw, did you know that I made the word ZOOS for 50 points? Hehehe. And I am finally heading home later, yahoo!!! You have absolutely no idea how much I've looked forward to this day... so excited until I have absolutely no mood to work, so spent much of the day catching up on D.Gray-Man, woots!

Sei Loh.

You know your Monday is pretty much screwed when you started the day with a garbage bag that you're going to dispose leaking without you realizing. Which then resulted a trail of unknown substances (I don't even want to think of its contents) in your landlord's house. I wanted to take a picture (for this post, obviously) but I guess its not exactly the smartest thing to do especially when the landlady looked, uhrm, wah-lao-ed?

So I spent the next 15 minutes wiping and mopping away the unknown substances under the watchful eyes of the landlady. No lah, she's not that evil as she actually shoo-ed me to work and mentioned that she'll take care of everything but of course cannot lah! Must be a responsible tenant, if not, later the rent amount increase, ahaha.

Hence, due to this delay, I missed the bus as well as the train heading directly to the East-West line from the North-East line, hence, arriving to the client's office about 35 minutes later than usual. Perhaps the Feng Shui in their office is quite strong of positive qi, hence everything went accordingly from there onwards.

What a way to start your weekday eh? I guess a Blue Monday is still way better than a Black Monday *searches online sites to read today's horoscope, zodiac, tarots and all that relates*

Want to See?

Well, if you're thinking the same thing as what I'll be thinking if I see this post title in your blog, I'm really sorry to inform you that you'll be disappointed, like, totally. Anyway, are you prepared to witness one of the most shocking image possible for any living person to comprehend? No worries as I can assure you that its nowhere close to being scary or disgusting (maybe just a little) or horrifying with some weird pop-ups and screams in the background, etc.

But still, please be prepared to witness...

The amount of sand, dust, hair, whatever accumulated after three weeks of not cleaning my room. Shocking huh? Just 3 weeks man! Imagine 3 months!!! I would probably be living in an area covered with cobwebs and what-so-ever. Oh, I purposely place in a 10 cents shilling just for comparison.

Henceforth, I shall resolve to clean my room as frequent as possible. To my dearest, please don't scold me yah?

Is Best.

You know your Saturday is best when:

- the PM is not coming into office, hence, no additional workload + knowledge transfer sessions
- the PL is not coming into office, hence, no additional workload + code changes
- the project mate is not coming into office, hence, no weird or funny requests/favours

On top of that, you also know your Saturday is best when:

- there's not many people around and you get to snap pictures around a little
- you get to catch-up on 15 episodes of D.Gray-man on YouTube (must catch up quickly, later kena licensed then cannot watch for free anymore). Can watch so many episodes also because there's no need to wait for loading here.
- click > watch > fast forward > watch > click > fast forward > watch
- one episode is about 30 minutes, so I spent approximately 450 minutes or 7 hours watching anime. Fuh, you tell me, best or not?

Last but not least, you know your Saturday is best when:

- finally get to makan steamboat after such a long time although not that sedap but quite cheap

The only downturn would probably be, which is just an assumption, I think I accidentally burnt my lips (the right side) while having the steamboat because now can feel a sharp pain when trying to open the mouth wide and when feeling it with my tongue, seems like there's a cut on it. So pain.

Jed is in the office (muka nampak bosan tapi sebenarnya tak bosan).

Latest Craze.

Tamaki Nami - Brightdown

Abingdon Boys School - Innocent Sorrow

Both songs are from the opening of D.Gray-Man, a Japanese anime that kick-ass!!! Malas want to elaborate on the series, go watch them lah, confirm you'll get addicted one. As for both the songs above, remember to pump up the volume before playing. I did, in the office, to avoid being bugged by my PM who keep calling me from his desk, loacted right behind me. Huahuahua!!! Let's just say the music was loud enough to drown all the noise around me and kept me slightly-repetitively-nodding all the way.

Just Us.

Me and Her in front of Charles and Keith in either Takashimaya or Wisma Atria when she came for a visit during the national day holidays on August 2007, tak patriotic betul.

Its been a while since you last saw a picture of me and her together gracing this blog right? The truth is, I was really afraid that everyone of you would get jealous then decide to stage a boycott and never come back to visit me again. That'll be so sad right? Hence, I decide to limit the posting of such pictures, so considerate of me, right? Right? Left? Kanan? Zhuo? Yau? *pun intended for someone*

Lately, I began to realize that it has somehow became a trend for me and her to come to some arguments (often, a major one) during the 14th of each month, not any other day but 14th, which coincides with our monthly-versaries. Pretty weird huh? Like we keep all the disagreements for the whole month, then when it comes to this particular day, BAM! Let everything loose. Or maybe its just me... Well, we'll normally sign the peace treaty the very next day, or the day after, never last long because, eventually, we'll talk things out, which is something she taught me to do and for that I am eternally grateful. If not for her, you are currently reading a post published by a time bomb that may explode any given minute, ahahaha...

Another 6 more days, I just hate it how time seems to pass slowly when you're anticipating something, and just pass by without realization when you're having helluva great time. Where's a Hiro Nakamura when I really need one?

Just being random, I guess.

Sixty Seven.

Happy 67 months of togetherness Jacklyn darling. For this month, I sincerely pray from the bottom of my heart that you will be less clumsy. Amen.

And to my dearest brother Adrian (not blood related and referring to him in a totally non gay way), for providing me the link to Fish Leong's latest album, J'adore, I shall worship you whole heartedly for the rest of the month. Perhaps makan vegetarian as well wtf.

Its your birthday!

Someone got older today but is still very much younger than me. Happy Birthday Eri Ah Peng! Many, Many Happy Returns! Never mind the first digit finally turns into two. Never mind the number growing closer to quarter of a century. Never mind there are now two HUGE candles on your birthday cake instead of one. Never mind that you're finally joining the twenty something gang (should be proud wtf). Have a great birthday okie! Also be grateful that I didn't throw you into the sea in Perhentian when I had the golden opportunity to so don't you dare ask me for present, lols! Enough of nonsense babble, here's your digital bday greeting card of some sort...

HAPPY 20th BIRHTDAY ERI!!! i purposely let you win one, :P.

Annoh?

Finally completed Cresent Love on YouTube after days of curi-curi watch a little here and a little there, in between codings. Even managed to snuck in a few character names as variables, lol. Sure die one if the Project Lead ever decided to scrutinize the codes, which is pretty unlikely since there are thousands of lines and hundreds of pages. Have to ke lian the person that'll be taking over that module in the future, confirm wtf the whole day lol!

Cute Scene 01. No-lah, the characters don't look like that through-put the series.

Cute Scene 02.

Also finally found the time to do a near complete revamp of my DS games. Let me just say that Bleach - Blade of Fate is SUPER AWESOME! But why the story mode so short one, only up until Rukia being saved from execution, finished in like 2 hours?!?!? How can?!?! Some other games include Dementium - The Ward, The Simpsons, Ontamarama, etc, etc.

After looping Fish Leong's new album for like, 81237674 times, I'm still addicted. Somebody, find me a cure please... Especially the cantonese song!!! Why-lah I'm so drawn to it...

I have this sudden urge to get a 40 inch LCD TV and a PS3... hhmmm... darling, can ah? lols

Came accross the interview clip between Al Jazeera News with Malaysia's Information Minister, Mr Zainuddin Maidin on the BERSIH event (I'm sure most of you out there in KL would have known about the event by now). Halfway through, I stopped the clip and decided to read the transcript instead as it's totally unbearable to continue, knowing that a minister in my country could actually blabber away in such an uncomposed manner on international broadcast. I know I should be laughing out loud as Mr Zainuddin is obviously making a fool of himself but I can't help it but to feel deeply ashamed and embarrased by his act at the same time.

Though I disagree with the government most of the time, I still love Malaysia, tanah tumpahnya darahku. *suddenly feel patriotic* To me, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad still fares the best in media events, be it local or international.

Few days back, before taking a bath, I looked into the mirror and noticed strands of white hair on my head. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little but there's certainly more now since its really obvious... Sigh. I'm not even a quarter of a century yet.

The End.

The Mind.

Is currently filled with a lot of thoughts that needs to be sorted out. Update frequency will be affected. *searches for a dice*

I think I think too much.

Jingle Bells.

The season to be jolly is just around the corner, a little too early? Nope! One of the best indication would be that shopping complexes around Singapore have already begun placing decorations for Christmas. And the funniest thing is, it started even before Deepavali was over. Siao right? I don't think I even saw much of decorations for the festival of lights around.

Yah. Go watch Stardust. I won't say that the movie will leave you in total awe but basically, it has all the right ingredients, the right words in the right scene at the right time. A storyline that's nothing too complicated, with a pinch of humor every now and then, some action and adventure, then romance. I'm not exactly sure how to put it but you kinda get this feeling that the movie's just flawless... you'll get what I mean after watching it. Next in line, The Golden Compass! Perhaps Lions for Lambs first.

Happy Deepavali.

Happy Deepavali or Diwali, the Festival of Lights, to everyone! Sorry, don't have any suitable pictures to make a greeting image, ehehe. *paiseh* Kinda weird though, having so many colleagues celebrating it but didn't receive even a single invitation for makan (during Raya, even the security Uncle invited me and some other Malaysian colleagues, over to his home to menjamu selera). Perhaps they don't really celebrate it or I'm listed as one of the out-casts in the Company, ahaha... Whatever lah, tak kisah pun.

Until few days back, I still thought Deepavali was the new year celebration but its actually to commemorate the victorious day of good (Lord Vishnu) over evil, according to my PM. Its not the Epic of Ramayanan, though there's some similarity in the base storyline, in a way. And in India, the two occasions that are mainly celebrated are Deepavali and Pongol, the harvest festival in the southern region. Unlike the lunar calendar which is widely used by all chinese, each region in India consists of a different sect and each having different calendars, hence, multiple new years throughout the continent. Just got to know this the other day when travelling to the client's site with the PM.

Drowning.

Not that BSB song. Supposed to be half-day off today but as usual, its the 'yan yan yau fun, ngo mou fun' situation which literally translates to everyone gets a share of it except me. Think I kinda got used to it already, la la la.

Let's just hope that I won't get a call tomorrow requesting me to come into office, there's a lot of sleep that I need to catch up on. And E's heading back to KL tomorrow, thus, life would get a little more peaceful for the few days to come. ahaha.

I felt this blog is getting more and more boring each passing day. Need some new excitement, need to inject some surprises here and there but then again, life such a routine in Singapore that even I'm feeling extremely bored. The three major cycles in life now is Work, Sleep and Eat. If Jed, who is a homely person that gets satisfaction in watching TV or going online than heading out to have some fun says life is boring, you can pretty much be 100% assured that it is indeed capital F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G boring!!!

*proceeds to drown in pool of boredom* gulp! gulp! gulp!

Third Time Unlucky.

The second time that we ate here was a disastrous affair. To sum things up, it was expensive and unappetizing. One fine Saturday night, we decided to give it a try once more, how often do you make the wrong choice of dishes can you make from the same restaurant anyway. And that was when the nightmare began... no lah, just exaggerating.

Ma-Po Tofu (in the menu, it states Tofu in Sze-Chuan style). Its supposed to be pretty sour and spicy but it tasted like diluted Tom Yam soup. Gross.

One of the better dishes. Wong Jau Kai (Chicken in Yellow Wine, I think), was quite good when still hot, yums.

Stir Fried vegetables with Mushroom.

Deep Fried Baby Sotong. It tasted weird, salty with a tinge of sweetness ala NanoNano. Then, the texture was hard and dry but not crunchy, even to chew properly was a difficult task. Imagine that.

Hence, it was later decided that the very next time we come back here, we would place orders for dishes that's exactly as the first time. Amen.

Withdrawal Syndrome.

Due to inability to communicate with the fiancee (officially using upgraded status now, hehehe) on messengers during weekdays while working. Of the 2 years plus that we've joined the working force, this is a first, of her not being able to online. I feel so lost and empty (not forgetting, bored) and also, everything suddenly seem so distant. I guess I'll just have to live with it plus those additional call charges.

On how I am currently, the fever seems to have subsided but replaced with minor headache every now and then. The flu seems to be getting better, at the same time, the cough is coming back OMG. I hate coughing, hard to get a good night rest. I believe in the power of self-healing *ohm...*

Even when looking at things from the most positive angle possible, I'm still able to ramble on this colleague of mine. If I wanted to, I can dedicate a post each day talking about how amusingly dumb and troublesome he can be or better still, start a new blog totally filled with destructive criticisms dedicated to this inferior being. Ta dah!

On a happier note, this coming Thursday is Deepavali!!! Confirm die-die will get a holiday given the nature that 99% of the employees in The Company celebrates it. That means I would finally get to rest after continuously working for the past 16 or 17 days *speaks in robotic tone* A note of advice, if you're in Singapore, try to avoid Little India on that particular day.

*Sudden enlightment* OMG! This year no chance visit Rames's house!!! (you don't invite me also I dun care, confirm show face one) NOOOooOOOoOoOO! Rames, you'll send me some of those curry mutton right? Right? Pretty pleaseeeeee....

Jed is Sick.

Yesterday, it was cough and sore throat, but still had to work.

Today, its fever and flu, also, still had to work.

Its always like this, when I'm well, then I'm really well. When I'm sick, all the illnesses comes on one big shot! Sigh... No appetite to eat lah! Don't even bother advising me to consult the doctor, I hate taking medicines.

The Crossroad.

One path leading to better career opportunities while the other, improving the relationship. A typical scenario, even those HK TVB series always put it, "If a man is troubled, there will only be 2 causes, one monetary (career), the other, women (relationship)".

Basically, I'm was in such a situation. After almost 2 hours of the performance appraisal session, where PM decided to finally reveal his upcoming plans for me in the current as well as future projects, I kinda felt as though a huge opportunity has suddenly been slapped on my forehead. Its like advancing to the final 10 of American Idol unexpectedly, the feeling, pretty close to an euphoria. The mind, subconciously, began to make plans to prolong my stay in Singapore, on getting her to come over as well, searching for a new room, changing ownership of the car in KL, all that stuff.

The thoughts ended abruptly after I informed her of my intentions and she stated her, which is to remain in KL. Total confusion ensues as we once discussed about moving here permanently and now the opportunity finally arrives, she pushes it away. Only after much arguments (obviously, me and my flaring temper) and phone calls later, we came to an understanding. Reality hits, I neglected on issues of the wedding, family and friends, and all the other commitments that we already have in KL, are we ready to just let go? Would be really be better off financially since both of us are there? Would we be able to cope with the differences in lifestyle?

The option to maintain the current situation was totally out of question as for me, this distance is really taking its toll on our relationship. One may argue that its just between Singapore and KL, seperated by 45 minutes of flight or just 5 hours by coach. In actualy fact, that was exactly my thoughts until the kickstart. As she moved around planning and getting things done, I'm still stuck in Singapore working (during weekend as well, at times) and this feeling of missing out on everything is pretty miserable. This is not even taking into account how badly I am missing her every now and then...

Hence, it was finally decided that the better choice would be for me to head back. I believe there'll always be other opportunities arising from career's perspective but the chances of spending life with someone so special comes just once in a lifetime.
