Tai O One.

From Ngong Ping, we took a bus to Tai O fishing village. First stop, some Tau Foo Fa (a dessert made of soybeans) which was supposed to be cold like ice-cream but turned out to be half cold half warm due to shortage of refrigerated ones. The orange colored toppings are not crab/fish roe, its sugar mixed with ginger (kiong tong) or something along that line

Took a boat ride out into the open seas to see pink dolphins (guaranteed by the guide) but all I experienced was water splashing on myself and my camera. No photos out in the open sea due to fear of speeding boat ride as mentioned here and here before. Here, we were slowly cruising along the river/path/canal of the village.

Still cruising around in low tide - can be seen by referring to the water markings on the wall on the bottom right area. Jacklyn mentioned that the structures reminded her of Pangkor village.

Walking the streets of the village, tons of dried seafood products can be found everywhere, scallops to mussels, prawn paste, huge salted fish, etc at a bargain/very affordable price - still negotiable.

BBQ dried seafood products - very laku (lots of customers). Didn't try this, opted for something lighter instead - 'put chai gou'
