Guess what, I just had my reunion dinner. O_O" Mom said she'll be fully occupied during the Eve with cleaning and final preparations, hence the decision to bring it forward. So early can? And another reason cited was because she already came to an agreement with Jacklyn's mother so that we can have reunion dinners at both sides; I didn't even know about that until this day itself. I now wonder how much have they been in contact with each other, more so, what did they discuss about. Hhhmmm...
As I'm having my holidays, I was appointed as the 2nd Chef of the kitchen, with tasks including cleaning and washing kitchen utensils, chopping and cutting, managing decorative items, preparing the cooking ingredients and everything else, except cooking. Oh, at least I did get to cook the rice. Anyway, the scrumptious spread was as follow:
Stir-Fried assorted vegetables, cauliflower, brocolli, carrot, mini-corns, yellow capsicums. According to the chef, the more colours the better.
Steamed Unknown Fish, I just know how to eat. The green topping is actually spring onions, the curled effect can bed done by seperating the spring onion into segments (can use needle), then leave them is cold water.
Stir-Fried Prawns in Soy Sauce. Very much dependant on the freshness of the prawns.
Abalone Braised with Sea Cucumber and unknown ingredient served with Chinese Cabbage. This dish, sapu-ed in like, 5 minutes.
Fung Lut Chicken. It basically steamed chicken with fillings - cubes of mushroom, ginko, fung lut, turnip and some other stuff. Super sedap one I tell you.
The spread, as referring to food, not the other one.
Hope you had a great reunion dinner as well. The reason this is posted up is to remind myself in the future after married life on how a reunion should actually be, so, you had better start taking down recipes okay jacklyn darling? I have great expectations of you *smirks*
