Malaysia Boleh!

Yet to have the chance to update myself with news back in Malaysia, until few days back. One thing that caught my attention (albeit a short one) was about assemblymen Shabudin Yahaya and Datuk Jasmin Mohamed blaming women's provocative dressing for sexual crimes.

*Laughs out loud*

Say what? Women's provocative dressing for sexual crimes.

*Laughs out loud, again*

OMG! So lame can? *my, my, what puny little brains they have* Some of our assemblymen should hop to the entertainment field and opt for stand-up comedians instead, they'll definitely do well in promoting Malaysia, worldwide. Agree? *In being a little meaner* Helloooouuuu? Left brain at home is it? Come on, can anything get lamer than this? Why not just blame the banks for robbery because people choose to save money in them instead of spending to flourish the economy. Or better still, blame manufacturers for accidents, cars can move too fast.

Lets put that aside and imagine this, a foreign investor, through the various trade fairs and aggressive promotions from our government, developed some interest for investments in Malaysia. Still having little doubts here and there, on political, economical and social stability issues, so, decided to do some research, scanning through local ongoings and business news in pur beloved country. Ooopsss, it so happens that he noticed this piece of joke, assemblymen churning out crude, sexist remarks rather than contrustive comments (any, if they're able to). Called off initial investment plans, looks at Singapore or China instead, wise decision indeed (I knew I would).

You think that's not happening? Think again. This is not even taking into account the 'bocor' incident, and an 'aging' women comparison incident.

Anyway, the fact that these remarks are coming from them, doesn't even surprise me anymore, as though, how should I put it, that's the way they're supposed to behave. Next, there'll be denials and claims of misquotation, because they said so and finally, the issue would just died off, like it never occured in the first place. And I, as the rakyat, should just learn to accept and adapt to this cycle, and I shall live happily and prosper. Malaysia Memang Boleh!
