KK trip day 1, morning...

I'm back!

How was the trip? Well, it was amazing! Absolutely fantabulous! Enjoyed every bit of it! But currently, I'm suffering from muscle aches on both the thighs and calves of my leggies. Anyone kind enough to volunteer and massage my poor muscles? I've had trouble to even climb or descend stairs for the past 2 days (and more to come!!!). Oh, woe is me... Anyway, just for your information, for the next few days, you'll be reading nothing but boring entries regarding the trip. So, enjoy lah!

Luggages! Luggages! Luggages!

In total, eight of us were heading to KK. Assembled early Thursday morning, took a cab (why do I have to sit facing the opposite direction? dizzy siut!) and reach LCCT at about 9 plus, which was quite early as the flight was scheduled @ 11.10am. After all the yadah yadah and blah blah blah stuff, we headed to the departure hall for the wait. As usual, not to be surprised (even though its my virgin flight, I've heard many stories before), it was delayed for about half an hour, and I should be counting my lucky starts as it was just 30 minutes.

This is how LCCT looks like for those who have not been there before

All not too soon, it was boarding time. As I walked (yes, you read that right, walked!) towards the plane on the runway under the scorching sun above and burning tars below, I took pictures of the plane (jakun mah!). I was then approached by a field marshall telling me that I cannot take pictures using camera but its ok to use a handset's camera. Not understanding why, I questioned him only to be replied with "Cepat jalan". Anyone knows why? Please enlighten me... mun yee was 'tegured' by another field marshall too for 'pandai-pandai' go and walk near the plane to take pictures... siao.

Passengers queueing up before boarding the plane, macam naik bus huh?

The picture that cannot be taken using a camera

On board, I realize that this was an old plane instead of the new Airbus 320-737 series. Damn sedih! But not to complain since this was free... Fortunately enough, I was able to get a window seat! Muahahaha! I could look out and take pictures all I want to my heart's content! Weird enough, the plane was refuelling with all the passengers on board. Quite scary hoh?
The taxiing period was so long that I bet I could've finished a pack of chicken rice by the time it finally took off, or maybe its just me. As I was quite excited, I completely forgotten that I suffer slightly from acrophobia. I took one look out of the window, saw all the buildings and vehicles down below, and I turned pale, and jelly legs. That's pretty bad... Seems like I was not the only jakun around, there were much more 'bising' people around...

Some random pictures I took during the journey as it was pretty boring

Approaching land after 2 hours being air-borne

2 1/2 hours later, the plane prepared for landing. I think that the runway must have been quite short because it landed and stopped quite forcefully, heavy braking. Air Asia flights are managed from KK's old airport, which at that time was having a facelift, resulting a hot, hectic and noisy environment. Immediately took a cab and headed to Hotel Daya Kinabalu, our shelter for the night before heading out to Mount KK tomorrow. Till then, the remaining time was spent exploring KK town...

More to come, so stay tuned...

welcome back! =D I don't know about them not allowing to take pictures, cos my colleagues do it all the time! They haven't gotten scolded before though.
