KK Trip, the descend + Poring Hot Springs...

Started the journey down after lunch @ approximately noon, I could feel my legs shaking with every step I took. I made good progress for the first 4KM, with the final 2KM being somewhere between dreadful and nightmare-ish, barely having the energy to stand up-straight. Alas, after 3 hours, I finally managed to reach the Gates... hurrah! The whole MK ordeal is finally over! I fulfilled my objective; hence, I'm contented! We made way back to where it all started, then paid and received our certs.

Artistic natural twirling of the branches

Fly-trap :: finally managed to see some

Me, me, me, me, me...

Big-ass huge worm, I think its about 2ft in length...gross!

After thanking and bidding our guide and potters farewell, onwards to our next stop, Poring Hot Springs! Which was 48km away! Tiu! I thought it was just nearby... On the way, we did stop for a moment @ Kundasang to get some fruits. Upon checking in, some of us headed directly to the hot springs only to be told that it closes @ 6pm. Tiu! x2. No choice but to head to the baths for a well deserved shower only to realize that hot water is not provided @ a hot spring... no hot water... damn 7 ironic. Dozed off by 9 something. Headed to the springs with KY early next morning because munyee prefered her beauty sleep. If you're expecting the place to be something like the hot springs in Japan, you'll be in for a huge surprise...

Fruit stalls @ Kundasang

Boring Poring Hot Springs, a view of the resthouses :: On the left is where I stayed, on the right is a football field

Sungai Mamut, flowing through the path to the hot springs

Dua orang bodoh

Commercialized hot springs :: basically, you can choose any "tub" you want and filled it with the natural hot water

Got piping system summore, salute! If you can't wait, use 3 pipes... wahaha!

Ah! This is life...

Time to head back to KK town once again. Too little time was allocated for Poring because they seem to have a variety of interesting offerings, such as waterfalls, butterfly farm and some other stuff. Stopped for breakfast @ Pekan Ranau. Checked in to our hotel in KK by 1 something, I've never been happier soaking myself in hot water under the shower head... Headed off in search for food and found this Pan Mee shop, which seems to be quite femes cause there was a lot of newspaper cuttings of the shop plastered here and there. I have to say that I enjoyed my pan mee a lot, as the mee was chewy and spongy, just the way I like it though the dumpling and toppings we only so-so. Proceeded to shop for a little souvenir before heading for dinner :: I got myself a blowpipe... hehehe. So beware, don't piss me off, else, you might not know what hit you... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Packing stuff into our transportation

Pekan Ranau

New style of taking picture! Snapping while pretending to sleep! What should I name it? Any suggestions?

The next post will be the final episode of my KK trip series...
