Planning for the MRT ride, we decided to take the North-East Line and then the North-South Line instead of the East-West Line (actual color-coding representation). The N-E line is a lot newer compared to the other 2, hence cooler air conditioning... I like... :) During our ride, there were minimal amount of people, meaning more air to breath and more space to move about... Uber-Cool!
Dhoby Ghaut station of the North-East Line, even the station looks more modern and sophisticated...
Upon exiting the Orchard Station, we finally have an idead where all the Singaporeans were at that time...
Di sini lah rupa-rupanya hang-hang sekalian sedang bertenggek...
Another view of Orchard with Atrium and Takashimaya (Ngee Ann building) in sight...
Looking opposite, TANG'S or TANGS or whatever in sight...
Off we head to Takashimaya (TSC) after having a hearty lunch. The lunch 'break' was exceptionally long and tiring because we were looking for something cheap to consume... at least cheaper than the price we saw in Atrium where everything costs $5 or more compared to $3 or less for the same thing elsewhere (we're not paid lavish sum of per diem each day to survive).
Inside of TSC, kinda remind me of Berjaya Times Square, quite classy if I shoud comment...
Another view... Dun play-play, got 2 levels of Cartier leh, imagine the amount of Jewellery that requires 2 shoplots...
Then we headed to Apple Center in Wheelock Building (if not mistaken) to catch a glimpse of the sales of 50% discounted IPod Nano 1G. Sold out siut!!! Looks like people still go style over substance...
Nice building structure of the building, there was even spiral escalators, was too amazed that I forgotten to take a picture (I know, I know, I budak Kampung lar...)
After hours and hours of strolling aimlessly, we finally realized that similar to the Bugis Junction incident, we have chosen a wrong place to head to as there's practically nothing much to do in Orchard except to shop, shop, shop and shop summore and shop until you drop... Therefore, moving on, we headed to Plaza Singapura after alighting from the Dhoby Ghaut station (which has an electronic walkway... something similar to the ones they have in airports).
Plaza Singapura, a lot larger than what we had in mind... Look, there's Golden Village Cinema (not belonged to Tanjong group one...)
Upon reaching, I kepoh-ed at a counter where lots and lots of people were queueing up. After a while, I got to know that the product on sale were Tako balls. So many people lining up should be deliciously superb one lor hoh? Being the sucker for food that I am, I lined up... and it was worth the waiting...
The packaging also very nice...
Octopussy Tako balls... Look at da size!!! The texture was just right, not too thick nor thin, the filling was scrumptious and the amount and size of octopussy inside was more than you could ask for!!! Yummy-licious - but was kinda expensive also ler, $2 for 3 balls
Enough adventure for the day, had dinner and headed home...
