Vegetarian.

While Mum goes full-time vegetarian on the first day of Lunar New Year, the rest of the family do it for only half a day. So, for dinner, we normally head to this vegetarian restaurant somewhere in Pandan Cahaya that serves awesome food, by my standard that is.

I feel that its actually not that easy to find vegetarian restaurants around Cheras; stalls aplenty but only for like, breakfast and lunch sessions.

The restaurant, next to a corner-lot in the shophouses area around Pandan Cahaya.

Surprisingly, the restaurant was totally empty as previously, we would have to wait close to forever before getting a table (unless we booked via phone beforehand). I wonder...

You can opt to order either the set dinner (usually cheaper) or ala carte. New soup on the menu, herbal type. I still prefer their seaweed tofu soup more.

Fried Mee.

Braised meat with pumpkin and yam. Let me tell you one thing, its freaking realistic, even the difference in texture of fat and meat can be felt when biting. Same goes to the salad prawn dish that we ordered last time, yummy.

Sweet and Sour Fish. The dark coloured texture is actually a layer of seaweed wrapping the "fish meat".

Loh Hon Zhai.

The bill for all the above, in portions for 4 persons, only amounted up to RM36, that's about 9 ringgit per person for 3 dishes, one mee, one soup and rice. Cheap right? That breaks one of the assumption most people had, that vegetarian food cost a bomb. So people, do abstain from meat once in a while for health or whatever reasons.

Last Minute Shopping.

Did some last minute shopping to get new pants as well as new underwear, Mom has issued a final warning that everything worn on the first day of lunar new year MUST be NEW! No worries at all, there's more than enough time to get everything can be done, shopping for clothes is almost 72% simpler than purchasing a hardware. One destination to settle it all, Jusco Taman Maluri and since its CNY the next day, even more discounts *laughs in most evil manner possible*

But the plan for a quick shopping scpree got spoiled due to one phone call back to my home, as well as hers; requests to purchase drinks as well as some other grocery stuff came in. Getting the drinks was an uphill task, most of the shelves were already emptied by the time we reached there. OMG! I should have headed out earlier on my own to get all these CNY goodies shopping done, ish-ish-ish!!!

This is also the first time that I shopped until my wallet also became empty, so scary can? This will definitely be the last time. And on the way home, I realized that since coming back, I have been running errands and doing chores like a kuli for the past few days, cleaning, packing, carrying, etc. etc. Hello!?!? I'm having a well-deserved break lah, I should be eating madarin oranges and snacking and sleeping the whole day instead of all these.

Why lah I so cham one? Traning for husband-hood started early, I guess.

An Early Reunion Dinner.

Guess what, I just had my reunion dinner. O_O" Mom said she'll be fully occupied during the Eve with cleaning and final preparations, hence the decision to bring it forward. So early can? And another reason cited was because she already came to an agreement with Jacklyn's mother so that we can have reunion dinners at both sides; I didn't even know about that until this day itself. I now wonder how much have they been in contact with each other, more so, what did they discuss about. Hhhmmm...

As I'm having my holidays, I was appointed as the 2nd Chef of the kitchen, with tasks including cleaning and washing kitchen utensils, chopping and cutting, managing decorative items, preparing the cooking ingredients and everything else, except cooking. Oh, at least I did get to cook the rice. Anyway, the scrumptious spread was as follow:

Stir-Fried assorted vegetables, cauliflower, brocolli, carrot, mini-corns, yellow capsicums. According to the chef, the more colours the better.

Steamed Unknown Fish, I just know how to eat. The green topping is actually spring onions, the curled effect can bed done by seperating the spring onion into segments (can use needle), then leave them is cold water.

Stir-Fried Prawns in Soy Sauce. Very much dependant on the freshness of the prawns.

Abalone Braised with Sea Cucumber and unknown ingredient served with Chinese Cabbage. This dish, sapu-ed in like, 5 minutes.

Fung Lut Chicken. It basically steamed chicken with fillings - cubes of mushroom, ginko, fung lut, turnip and some other stuff. Super sedap one I tell you.

The spread, as referring to food, not the other one.

Hope you had a great reunion dinner as well. The reason this is posted up is to remind myself in the future after married life on how a reunion should actually be, so, you had better start taking down recipes okay jacklyn darling? I have great expectations of you *smirks*

The Friday Rush.

Rushed to HarbourFront Centre way early in the morning to avoid the MRT rush, else it'll be quite impossible to find additional space for my huge-ass luggage bag. And when I say early, its referring to a time when the sun have yet to rise early, around 6.20am. I've not been awake around this hour for the longest time, not even for my occasional morning jogs (which have been discountinued, refer to previous post).

Rushed home for a quick change before rushing to the developer's office (again) to settle the Loans as well as Sales and Purchase agreement, finally. I think she's been there too frequently as the agents were able to recognize her from far. Well, a breath of relief at last, the developer has been chasing for the agreement to be signed since mid of January, ahaha. It was also the day that I said byebye to all my savings, I am now officially penniless. Donations, anyone?

And finally, rushed back to her house before rushing out again for dinner with her family. Got to know that one of my preferred restaurants have opened a branch in Shaw Parade but then the food was not as good as the one in Serdang, how come new branch jatuh standard one? Then they allow smoking in the air-conditioned restaurant, like, wtf lah. Seriously, I can tolerate with loud and rowdy people but smoking, a definite no-no because you're the only one who wanted to die faster, please don't drag me along.

Only after that did I finally manage to get some well deserved rest. I'm gonna be a quarter of a century soon, can't take this type of hectic schedule anymore, have pity on this old man.
