Korean Food Fair @ Plaza Damas, all things Korean. Spot the girlfriend.
Had a look around the Korean Food Fair in Plaza Damas while waiting for the restaurant, that we were planning to dine in, start serving. Had to apologize for not taking note of the duration it will be ongoing for. Basically, the fair showcases packaged Korean food, in exception for a counter selling freshly handmade kimchi. Basically, you can see snacks to ramens, soft drinks to ginseng teas, yadah yadah.
Right next to the Korean Flag is the most expensive luncheon meat I have ever seen. Close to rm30 per can.
The funny thing I noticed was, majority of the snacks have faces of celebrities (I think) donned on its packaging, in weird poses and funly clothing, having a go on the snack. Their muka must portray ultimate happiness, with the snack on hand/mouth/lips/whatever. As though, it would be tastier that way. Got celebrity face, yummy x 100.
Spicy Ramen!!! All sorts of it you can find here.
Imagine a young girl going "OMG, Rain's face on the teddy chocs, sure dem nice one". *Proceeds to buy the snack* Like wtf. But it might just be happening. If any of you ever watched MTV K's School Attack (ep4?), you'll know what I mean. Just like when we see Miriam Yeung using Diamond Spa or the Pensonic Friends, or KennySia.com doing some review. Not like we would purchase those stuff immediately, but it does slide the impression meter more towards the positive side a'ight? Such is the power of marketing...
Potato chips. Yam chips. Whatever chips. Junk food galore!
In the end, I didn't get anything. I've been nothing but a busybody there. Hahaha. The end. I go celebrate Valentine's Day loh.
Coke from Korea, anyone? So pwetty. So cororful.
