And so, on the third day, nothing really happened but during dinner, there was a power outage. No choice but resorted to candlelight dinner, don't jealous okeh? Halfway through dinner, I realized that it has been a while since we last talked and joked that much during dinner, as per norm, the TV did all the talking. Its been a while since I felt the warmth of the family during dinner. Once done, the power supply came back, as if it actually meant to give us some quality time, but, its just my mind. Funny how things are sometimes...
Fourth day onwards, more of visitings and being visited, and then Friday came. Hence, that's how my new year was celebrated. As you can see, I never really had any 'balik kampung' experiences ever since I was born. It can be a good thing, or bad, but I guess its up to how I wanted to perceive it. Maybe in the coming one, I should follow the girlfriend's family back to her hometown in Pangkor. Talking bout 'balik kampung', one thing I noticed is that this tradition seems to be dying off, I experienced congestion in the city during the new years, which never occured before. So, its kinda safe to say that, in the years to come, there'll be no difference in traffic volume during the holidays. The end.
Saturday (7th Day of Lunar Calendar, which is also 'Yan Yat', literally translates to Everyone's Birthday) deserves a post on its own, that will have to come later.
Oh, I finally managed to finish God Of War (PS2) during the holidays. I know its an old game, but I could never find the time to complete it, and I do have to say that although the game is quite repetitive, the storyline was awesome!
I lost my train of thought. So, I guess, that's all.
