g.e.n.t.i.n.g. trip

Second entry to Short Trip in Genting :: Day 1 second half and Day 2 first half

Moving on... We were kinda spoiled for choices to makan-makan; it was actually causing us headache to decide where to have our dinner. First World has been so commercialized since the last time we were here; the place resembles a shopping complex more than a hotel anytime, anywhere you look.

note: According to an anonymous source, come of the brands there had their stock flown in directly from HK; therefore, the items on sale are actually more unique/limited/newer than those sold elsewhere (KL for example). Pay attention when shopping next time.

In the end, we judged the food by its decoration and decided to eat here:

Which was a bad move; either we ordered the wrong dishes or everything's like that (its like that, yo!) or maybe it's just us. Both the Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Nanyang Fried Rice taste ... erm ... eeehhh ... plain?

Hainanese Chicken Rice :: you serious?!?!?

Frice rice with funny keropok and slices of cold fried egg... eeewww

As you might have guessed, the unsatisfactory meal + cold weather = find other food lor; within an hour or two or so, we headed for another eatery to compensate for the previous torture. We went to flavours and ate light (supper time nia)...

I took a Iced Sea Coconut + Longan
She took a Hot Black Sesame Gluitonious Ball (something like that lar) also ordered a Thai styled tauhu thingy (hot, sour and salty + spicy != NanoNano)

aaaahhhhhhhh... stuff are much, much better as displayed by mun yee

Supper + Sleep = Next Morning

a view from bed to window

After a hearty although not fulfilling but what to do cause its free breakfast, we headed for a short walk towards the outdoor theme park. To our amazement, it was raining again...

damn cold, misty and wet out there

never failing to take a picture first, bbbrrr...freaking cold...

As opposed to the comment posted by SmashpOp that I was afraid to take theme park rides; it was an action by people of the higher level that prevented me from doing so... and I have no choice but to abide, cheh wah!

Instead, we headed for shopping and aimed rested & relaxed until lupa want to makan lunch! At about 1600, we decided to have a light snack due to the fact that we were tad bit hungry and dinner was soon. Snacking soon turned into a full fledge meal as the pictures in the menu was irresistable (Food do look nicer when we're hungry...)

Our so-called snacking location

Kai See Hor Fun :: Chicken Floss Noodle Soup

Soya Duck with Wantan Mee

MMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmm...yummy, yummy, yummy...

That's all for now folks, stay tuned for the second half of second day and first half of the final day!

= = = = =

Was almost calar-ed by an express bus on my way home... stupid express bus driver, forcing its way into other lanes at a corner summore! Was so damn freaking close that I can draw a pig clearly on the side of the bus using a marker pen! I shall file a complaint! I shall!

i'm b.a.c.k.

I have absolutely no luck with our transportation system. Seriously! No, I did not get summoned-you wicked one. As you might have noticed/known (else, please scroll down one (1) entry), I was off to Genting on Saturday afternoon. Driving up, for the first time ever (I can sense you mocking me with your evil laughter), the least expected thing to happen was a congestion. For the gazzilions times I've been to Genting, be it by, bus, bus, bus or bus, never once have I been caught in a jam, not even on Saturdays!!! And I got stuck in ONE in my virgin drive up; due to road re-construction!

Woe is me! Why does it have to happen now! Mind you, but they seem to be layering the whole freaking highway! Oh, the horror! Anyways, the journey up which should be about an hour stretched on for another 30 minutes :: which was still minor considering that I've drove to Penang before. But all the hill climbing made me sienz... should have taken the SkyWay up instead...

Kenari overtaking me... :(

The power of Kenari...sudah-pun pergi jauh-jauh

After a long journey up of seeing other vehicles overtaking me effortlessly, I finally reached the peak. As norm, headed for check-in. The washroom beside the lift stinks beyond normal human comprehension, and water (you may replace this word with other liquorish substances) was slowly flowing out of it. Fearing that my camera may not be able to sustain the hazard, I chose not to take any picture of it; else, its lens might shatter!

There were just so mannniiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee people checking-in

The people seen above is just a small handful of all present at the lobby area. After check-in and confirming that the package does include free breakfast for 2 (yippee!!!), headed to da room! This time, it was on level 22, practically the highest level I've been allocated to before :: blink! blink!

It was quiet cold and misty at the moment of our arrival, even the theme park was not functioning. Luckily, it did not rain on our way up. Due to the inoperability of the outdoor theme park, the indoors were practically thronged with hyperactive kids springing everywhere. Oh, the horror! One can practically hear kids screaming every 10 seconds; the frequency is faster is faster than screams from the indoor coaster ride. Imagine that...

Mind you/me/he/she/everybody... I do like children; however (there's always a catch, eh?), Hundreds of hysterically screaming childrens running and prancing around is a no, no, no, no, no!!! Drives me nuts...

Theme park pun bebanyak rides tak operate...

Fountain at lobby area of Genting Hotel...

Walked around to enjoy the cool breeze before heading for dinner... cold weather makes me wanna eat more frequently!!! And frequently I shalt eat!

Stay tuned for more... jed signing off for now... mau tido lar...

lupa mau taruh t.i.t.l.e.

I was going through Jen's archive when I came across this (yeapz, I might just be ransacking your archive as well, beware... Jed's coming to an archive near you...):

Seven Deadly Sins Quiz
i decided to make it large and red to have a more dramatic effect

I was really, really, really, really x 2759031639 curious on knowing in what category I've sinned through my life. Curiosity kills the cat; but hey, I'm no cat... Lo and behold, I am:

Greed:Very High
Gluttony:Medium
Wrath:Medium
Sloth:Medium
Envy:Medium
Lust:High
Pride:Medium

Take the Seven Deadly Sins Quiz

Greedy and lusty... therefore, I Greed for Lust and I Lust for Greed, not bad, not bad at all!!!
On the other hand, its kinda hot tonight... even Mr. Orange is sweating profusely...

I'm too sweaty for my body, too sweaty from the heat, too sweaty for my clothes...

HaHaHa! Lame... Gotta sleep early tonight...

bday b.o.y.

As of today, 21st March 2006, JasonGKY a.k.a. SmashPop @ SmashPop.Net has officially turned 23!!! Twenty three; dua puluh tiga, yee sap sam, er sher sharn; I think that's enough to actually stress how old he is. Taking a look at his picturous blog, one would never realized that he is of such a matured age. Please thank me for being the Sherlock Holmes in revealing his true identity, i mean age...

In case you are wondering, although I may look more matured, I am younger than the individual abovementioned!

Emerging...
Lately, I've been approached by an Individual, let's name him Marco. Marco got my mobile number from someone (if I found out someone indeed exposed my number, he/she will be getting FIRST CLASS treatment from me!) out of no-where and contacted me regarding a business opportunity. Well, business opportunity has become so synonymous with MultiLevel Marketing (MLM) that when you hear it, you'll almost immediately brush it aside. I was not really interested to know what he was offering, rather, I would like have a look at him since his voice sounds familiar (I am not gay, I like/love gals); who knows this dude might be some of my long lost friends.

Seems like there's a new generation of marketing plan out there, instead of selling a product, they sell you knowledge :: that's what they "claim" they are doing. After long session of explanation and interrogation, I conclude that it still looks like MLM. dang! The typical things being brought forward are:
1. Need to buy some recommended tapes, which will contain information that is absolutely relevant to your success
2. You need to attend seminars (not free), which will contain information that is absolutely relevant to your success
3. You need to pay an annual fee, which will contain information that is absolutely relevant to your success
4. You need to get other people to join, which will contain information that is absolutely relevant to your success
5. You need to know how to draw circles and connect them, which will contain information that is absolutely relevant to your success

Basically, those are some of the pointers of potential MLM business; business opportunity my ass. Good for getting quick buck from friends, nothing else! This time, instead of packaging everything to a product and coaxing you to buy and join; these dudes package it as a business concept :: using the 4 quadrants concept introduced by Mr. Robert T. Kiyosaki. Very resourceful bunch of people.

Me, currently...
These few days, I've been quite depressed :: If the next thing on your mind is to say that I'm having PMS, fark you! I suspect it might be due to:
lack of sleep, depression, multi-level pressure, depression, holiday-less, depression, financial instability, depression, bleak future, depression, depression, depression...

I just feel mightily depressed!

I will now go sulk in the corner of my room. Leave me be.

MMU Career Fair

Was back in Multimedia University (MMU) Cyberjaya for 1 1/2 days for its Career Fair (14-16 Mac 2006) as the company I am currently working in was involved in it. Practically, as a non-consumer looking company :: a booth was setup for interested candidates to drop by, fulfill their curiosity, and drop their resume :: students were not really dwelling into our area compared to some others which are offering free gifts for signing up with them and so, so, so...

It was kinda nostalgic as the previous year, I was at the career fair as a student, seeking for employment opportunities. This year, I'm back yet again, but as someone offering employment opportunities (on behalf, of course). Hence, this proves that I am getting older by the day and there is no escaping.

Good thing about the Fair was, the SuruhanJaya Pilihan Raya (SRP) :: something like that ler :: was there to offer registration to qualified non-registered voters. Golden opportunity to register; saves the hassle of doing so in some-where I dunno-how (plus! I do not even need to queue). Heck, the registration form was even filled up by their personnel, and guess what; it comes attached with a free gift. Where else can you get so much done so quickly from the government?!?!?! I feel blessed all of the sudden!

Other than offering opportunities, there were interview sessions conducted in order to do some initial filtering. It feels quite funny as some of the candidates were:
1. ex-course mates
2. friends
3. ex-house mates
4. juniors

Sadly, indirectly, it also makes you feel old! sob!sob! If you are some-what confused, I graduated from MMU.

Finally, I saw the XFresh Xplorer - got 1 Streetsurfer Mobile as well (by the time I see it, it was already leaving). However, there was no sign of SmashPop around, I guess he's not involved in all these event thingy.

Unfortunately, due to work load, I am unable to take any photos. Sadz...

sunday m.o.r.n.i.n.g.

Yosh, finally its back! What's back? Formula 1!!! I mean you get to watch football/soccer all year long, you get to watch tennis all year long, you get to watch golf all year long. But Formula 1, there's a season to it [OK, so do Tri-Nations Cup (Rugby baby!!!)]. Nevertheless, its back for good!

Courtesy of Formula1.com

Counting down to today's race, which will be 2030 (GMT+0800 - equivalent to 0830pm) tonight will be a definite great one! Why? Cause its the season that Ferrari, da Italian Prancing Horsie will be back to dominate the season! Total Domination! MicS finally got a pole after such a long, tiring, uncompetitive season last year (hello! US Grand Prix does not count); along with Felipa Massa on the first row (Wow! That indeed is a surprise...)

With the changes in rules yet again:
1. Aerodynamic limitations
2. Reduction in horsepower to 2.4l V8 engine
3. Tyre changes in between pit stops allowed
4. Engine to last 2 full races inclusive of qualifying, etc.

Things seem to be playing well for the combination of Bridgestone + Ferrari... Well, hopefully tonight I will be able to see a Ferrari on podium, *prays*

FD3, Gory, gory, la la la... la! Spoiler alert!

Courtesy of Joblo.com

Went to watch this yesterday afternoon. It was raining elephants and whales. The cinema was way too cold! Which is ..... great!!! Where else can you get a cinema where the environment was setup in occasion with the movie? When you're cold, you are vulnerable; thus you get scared easily! Cool!

Well, I did hear some screamingS throughout the movie.

The movie was kinda ... dull, should I say? For those who had 'witnessed' FD1 and FD2 (uncensored) might be feeling the same. Though in the movie, Wendy did mention "Somehow, their deaths seems to be more vicious". For me, it felt the same except the fact that they did more spew of the internal stuff during deaths, gory? NO. Funny? YES!

Other than the death by tanning, others seem to fast and pass by too quickly, conversation, bam!, death, conversation, bam!, death. (I am not an evil person!) One of the key elements in both of the previous FDs were those thrilling moments of how you thought they were gonna die, but wham! Unexpected turn-around! This one was somehow closely related to the photographs...hhhmmm...

Might be due to the fact that the Censoring Board has did something funny to it. Therefore, I shall grab an uncensored copy to see what's in there for me.

BTW, if you're still wondering what FD stands for, you're freaking dryed-up. Go get some sleep, else, you might be getting some premonitions...

missing p.o.s.t.

Something has somehow place my previous post somewhere else, very troublesome! Alrighty there, previously I posted an entry stating that I was preparing myself for exam, therefore will be missing from action for a few days. Post gone, simple as that. Maybe I was just too tired after the post that I fell asleep on the key board and my chin hit ALT while my nose hit F4... and yes, my face is THAT big...

Exam, what exam?!?!?!

I can practically hear that ringing through everyone's head. Well, in case any of you were interested and wondering, was just getting myself certified through Microsoft Testing programme. Yadah, yadah... I would not want to take it if not for the obligations; I mean, having to go through all the nightmares again is INDEED very torturing! But the amount of joy brought in through success is equivalent to the sufferings, given IF you are successful.

After all the required preparations, took the exam yesterday morning and passed!!! Yay! Come on everyone, congratulate moi!!! Well, I was quite astonished with the fact that I knew the results even before stepping out of the exam room; way cool right?!?!?!? It would be great if all my exams during Uni days were like that, and we can choose to actually re-take the spot if intended! Cool, right?

Process was farely simple, go online, register online, set appointment online, pay online, study online and walah! You're ready for the paper. On the day itself, present yourself to the testing center along with a confirmation print-out, fill in some freaking forms (mandatory) and click away!!!

Wait, I see someone making funny faces... Yeapz, I said typed it correctly... CLICK! Its computerized! Thats what it should be as we're supposed to be living in a paperLESS society, right? I was actually anticipating a room with tens of PCs where all the examinees take position at the assigned location and time; then begins the exam. Much to my surprise, I was lead to a corner slot with 3 PCs, assigned to 1 and tadah! My paper begins... Heck, I even get to start earlier!!! (Of course, ending at precisely 170 minutes later).

I was actually allocated a longer duration due to the fact that I am taking an English based paper in a non-english-country. Talk bout privileges!!! All in all, managed to finish the paper in time and passed, that's all that matters. Now, have to look farward to complete the set of papers I'm supposed to take to acquire the certification. Wish me luck, everyone!!!

Conversation gone w.r.o.n.g.

Was tok-ing to Smash over MSN yesterday regarding the recent hike in petrol price yesterday. He motioned that I should try to walk to work instead of driving in order to save more. After some statistics, I drew an exponential graph to show him the average distance X time required. Sensing something was not right, the conversation below occured...

Muahahahahaha...he has no plug-in for his messenger, so cannot draw. Yeapz, it might look childish but reigning over helpless souls is my speciality. LOL!!!
