I've finally taken up swimming lessons, well, more like being forced to since I jokingly agreed to join the wife (for lessons) and the next thing I know, there I was standing at the edge of the pool on a Sunday morning three weeks back, scared shitless. Must have been her evil scheme all along.
I really fear/loathe water related activities - swimming, snorkeling, speedboats, jet-skis, banana boats, etc. Almost drowned once during snorkeling due to panic, thank the higher beings for life jackets. The guide swam me far out and all of a sudden, my snorkel started to masuk air, ended up with gallons of seawater and sore eyes when I finally got back to shore. Sigh.

Anyway, classes have been good so far, the instructor's quite strict - he ensures that you complete a particular lesson before proceeding. But up until now, I'm still at the stage where I'm trying hard to conquer my fear of drowning, sigh again. Well, I just hope that I wouldn't break the instructor's record on the number of classes required to learn a style (currently at 6) *fingers crossed*. To Infinity ... and Beyond [Buzz Lightyear]!
