The Bottleneck.

A situation where a continuous stream of source is of such a great volume that the process is unable to cater them all at once, and without any method to increase the processing rate due to lack of resources, thus, resulting a bottleneck at the output/destination.

A situation which best describes my current workload which I sometimes have to continue from home due to tight deadlines (you know, higher-ups, they always need stuff completed yesterday).

A situation which I foresee will be ongoing at least until mid of 2010, judging from the current trend although I hope that I'm totally wrong *fingers crossed*. Right now, currently confirmed with varying deadlines and on-hand, I have proposals, user acceptance tests, development and programming modules, patches and updates to schedule, project planning and not forgetting, tonnes of documents to prepare and review. Managed to clear my mailbox just now, most fortunately, just that its currently filled with dozens of red flags. Sigh.

Well, must learn to be more positive. So, looking from the bright side, at least I would be thoroughly occupied during work hours rather than counting down the minutes to head home. And job security is at an all time high unless I screw up big time *shudders*
