Scandal.

You read it first here at this blog, Mr.A and Mr.E caught in a never been seen before intimate moment in public. As the Chinese saying goes, paper will never be able to wrap a fire. Images taken during Jacklyn and Eugene punya double birthday celebration, November 2009 at La Casa Desa Park City.

Disclaimer: There are facts and there are fictions, you should be able to tell.

1U4ME.

After an absence of N months, we made a trip to One Utama on a fateful Sunday afternoon. Made a mistake by using Jalan Damansara which was a nightmare due to roadworks at LDP. Also, for the first time ever, I had to park at the Dataran due to restricted entry into the mall and walked all the way towards there under the scorching sun. Sheesh!

There were probably enough people inside One Utama that day to fill up Stadium Bukit Jalil, twice. It was, how should I put it... intimidating? Managed to catch the Kung Fu performance during our trip there, which was pretty awesome, especially when the performers showcased moves with weapons!

Paws-perity cats everywhere in One Utama. Fortunately, the paws were not made to wave like the usual frontward-backward motion else, many Chinese would definitely avoid the mall.

The Bottleneck.

A situation where a continuous stream of source is of such a great volume that the process is unable to cater them all at once, and without any method to increase the processing rate due to lack of resources, thus, resulting a bottleneck at the output/destination.

A situation which best describes my current workload which I sometimes have to continue from home due to tight deadlines (you know, higher-ups, they always need stuff completed yesterday).

A situation which I foresee will be ongoing at least until mid of 2010, judging from the current trend although I hope that I'm totally wrong *fingers crossed*. Right now, currently confirmed with varying deadlines and on-hand, I have proposals, user acceptance tests, development and programming modules, patches and updates to schedule, project planning and not forgetting, tonnes of documents to prepare and review. Managed to clear my mailbox just now, most fortunately, just that its currently filled with dozens of red flags. Sigh.

Well, must learn to be more positive. So, looking from the bright side, at least I would be thoroughly occupied during work hours rather than counting down the minutes to head home. And job security is at an all time high unless I screw up big time *shudders*

Chop. Oink. Chop. Oink.

Here's a short clip of Mr.Hikaru and Mr.Rames slaughtering a piglet with plates at El Cerdo for the former's birthday celebrations. Pretty dark but you'll figure - violence and gore ahead, you have been warned. A little word of advice for those planning to try the roasted piglet, the scent and taste can be quite overwhelming for some, as it did for most of us present that night, non-pork-lovers should definitely opt out. As for me, I  had an awesome feast that night oh-nomnom-noms!

Swim. Swim. Swim.

I've finally taken up swimming lessons, well, more like being forced to since I jokingly agreed to join the wife (for lessons) and the next thing I know, there I was standing at the edge of the pool on a Sunday morning three weeks back, scared shitless. Must have been her evil scheme all along.

I really fear/loathe water related activities - swimming, snorkeling, speedboats, jet-skis, banana boats, etc. Almost drowned once during snorkeling due to panic, thank the higher beings for life jackets. The guide swam me far out and all of a sudden, my snorkel started to masuk air, ended up with gallons of seawater and sore eyes when I finally got back to shore. Sigh.

Anyway, classes have been good so far, the instructor's quite strict - he ensures that you complete a particular lesson before proceeding. But up until now, I'm still at the stage where I'm trying hard to conquer my fear of drowning, sigh again. Well, I just hope that I wouldn't break the instructor's record on the number of classes required to learn a style (currently at 6) *fingers crossed*. To Infinity ... and Beyond [Buzz Lightyear]!

Train of Thoughts.

Got a fright when Dad called at 10.45pm (which he very rarely does) and all sorts of thoughts (negative ones) ran through my mind when I picked that call. Alas, it was just a supper call and upon reaching downstairs, a huge packet of piping hot Sang Har Meen (fried prawn noodles) was waiting to be feasted upon, yums, as illustrated:

Whilst slurping away on the gravy laden noodles, the following thoughts ran through my mind:

1. There goes all calories burnt from twice a week badminton sessions for a whole month

2. There goes all the weekend swimming lessons

3. There goes all the training sessions for the Putrajaya night marathon

4. Slurps, mmmmm, this is seriously awesome man, yums

5. Wow, how long has it been since I last took supper! During my schooling and university days, it an activity so regular its almost a ritual (this deserves an entry on its own)

6. When the wife finds out about this tomorrow, I will be dead (and hence, the status update)

hehehehehe...

Revival.

The planned revival of this blog for year 2010 has suffered a big blow yet again as the owner failed to keep the momentum going. Much like how all his incomplete and unpublished posts has been drafted, it all started with the enthusiasm of getting a spanking new gadget, slows down tremendously half way like a noobish marathoner and finally lacking any inspiration as well as willpower to go on in the end, akin having too much to eat.

I guess, moving on, this blog would pretty much end up like the plant which the wife passed to me in hope that I could somehow revive it, said plant's condition as illustrated below:

A complimentary gift from The Gardens Mall for completing a survey, the plant supposedly does not require any care until it out-grows the container, then it should be transferred to soil. Yet, somehow, under the wife's care, it ended up like this. And this blog seems to be suffering a similar fate under my care.

Pork Overdose Week.

Thursday - A bowl of pork ribs porridge for dinner

Saturday - Mr.Hikaru's Birthday Dinner at El Cerdo where I think I consumed a year's worth of pork that night. From soups to appetizers, to trotters, ribs and sausages then the finale of a whole roasted piglet. Be warned that the piglet's not for everyone, many of us find it a bit too 'strong' to their liking. Overall, the food as well as the dining experience was awesome beyond words; and so was the bill which bordered 4 digits.

Sunday - The absent minded me ordered roasted chicken rice with roasted pork for lunch, it was already too late when I realize of the overdose. Not only that, during dinner at a restaurant (known as Lau Heong in Cantonese) in Sentul, an irresistible deep fried pork knuckle was served and needless to say, I fought a losing battle in an attempt to minimize intake.

There you have it, month long twice a week badminton sessions in hope of shedding some kilograms wasted just like that *POOF* think I'm gonna refrain from taking anymore pork for the rest of January.

2010. Monday.

So, it took me almost an hour to reach office today, it was much more congested than I expected. I blame the rain. Sigh, why does the school holidays have to end so soon? Anyways, along the journey to work, I stumbled upon:

# 3 stalled cars at different locations, what an unfortunate start to a brand new year, pity them...

# 2 accidents, one at the downwards slope of an elevated highway (so dangerous!) while the other one had an ambulance present at scene, must be pretty severe, pity them as well...

# And a massive congestion caused by parents dropping off their kids to school, there's even a police officer present controlling the flow of traffic (and none at the above mentioned scenes of accident). Spoiled brats, pity me...

Happy New Year 2010.

May Hui Lau Shan be brought into KL in 2010. Random, I know. Anyway, here's hoping that everyone had a blast into 2010.
