One of the many smaller streets or lanes in Kuta selling t-shirts. The advice from our guide was to walk till the furthest end (towards the more quiet area) then only start looking around since most of them sell pretty similar stuff. Chances in getting a good bargain are higher this way.
Outside the entrance into Galuh Bali Spa. Managed to strike a 25% discount for a 2 hours massage plus spa package - I think our guide either have some influence or stakehold in the spa because I recall our attendant looking at him before agreeing to the discount. Or perhaps its just my imagination.
We were ushered into a room-like hut with two beds and basically oiled then massaged - I tell you, these ladies are small but strong. After what felt like an eternity of bone crushings attempts, our bodies were applied with some cool but weird cucumber mixture then left to dry and srubbed off then reapplied with the same mixture and left to dry then scrubbed off again.
Lastly, we were left alone to take a quick shower then dip in a hot tub of water pre-mixed with unknown milkish substances and covered with petals of flowers, best! And just before your imagination runs wild, we were given disposable underwears, which I found was pretty fragile, to be worn throughout the whole session.

Jacklyn with one of the performers of the Kecak dance, more of this to come later.
The creature used in the Barong dance, more of this to come later as well.
One of the art galleries located either in or on-the-outskirts of Legian - the art pieces here, framed paintings or wood carvings range from as low as tens to ten thousands of US dollars. A very detailed painting of what I assumed to be a mythical lady did caught my attention but it was a little too pricey for its size, USD 55 after discount. Well, in the end, we did get something, favouring its carved wooden frame more than the painting actually, lols.
Men at work, seen here applying something onto the carving. When enquired, they mentioned it was petrol which was supposed to be able to protect the wood and gives the shining/reflective outcome, as seen above. Perhaps petrol refers to some other stuff in Bali.
This was at one of the wood carvings gallery, there will be more on this because it was one of the few places where photography was allowed. Jacklyn bought a chess set here and has prohibited me from utilizing it. For decorative purposes only, she says. But I paid for it reasoning had no effect.
