Its Just Ridiculous.

Recently, I began wondering how on earth did I manage to tolerate with all these ridiculous-ness around me throughout the 2 years. Was I really that ignorant all these while or was it because my level of tolerance has achieved ZEN-ish level? Don't think so on the latter, since Jacklyn mentioned time and again that I have the patience of the Shinkansen and tempers of a spoiled kid.

An example would be allocation of hardware resources, can you believe that in a short span of 3 months, I have had my laptop changed and exchanged for a total of 7 times. Sometimes, its because some other person dislikes that model, prefers this model, insisted on this and that hence being the guy with not much saying power in the whole cycle, I had to give in my machine. As if all the repeated transfers and back-ups are not bad enough, most of the times, the laptops come with incomplete softwares that I even had to spend time doing installations, on top of my deadlines. Bullshit loh, why lah that time I so dumb just agree like that.

And the long working hours due to impossible deadlines, working night shifts, working during weekends and holidays, impossible teammates, sigh. I was really working so much that it comes to a point where other than meals and minimal sleeping hours, all else was work. But when I look my other colleagues, they just look, relaxed. Chatting, spending time in the pantry chatting again, long lunch hours, clocking in late, leaving sharp at 6 and at one point, I was asking myself, why am I earning shits while working my ass off, and they had it so much easier with higher pay? Perhaps their super-geniuses, the similar tasks are peanuts to them? That question is still left unanswered.

The worst, having to get things done, the absolute nightmare. You have to remind them again and again and again, 3 times a day, 7 times a week which by doing that, you would be lucky to have what you needed in one weeks time. Its really that bad. I learnt it the hardway, that the most efficient method is to do everything yourself, if capable of doing so. Sheesh. Just thinking about this make Jed angry.

Perhaps, I enjoy doing what I'm doing but not what I'm experiencing and going through, I would put it this way. I guess I have suddenly come to a point of realization where moving on the right although selfish step that has to be taken, I am still unsure what happened that actually triggered that ultimate decision. There's so much that can be said but yet, that is all that can be said. Just wish me luck. Yah, I also kinda felt that this post lacks a proper structure but I shall just leave things as it is.

Cannot Tahan Already.

Is anyone feeling the same way or is it just me? That the songs Realize by Cobbie Callet and Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis are played so frequently on air that its starting to feel a little annoying? Don't get me wrong, I love both the songs but when three different stations are playing it simultaneously, it tends to kinda drive one crazy.

Image above is the underground passage from Raffles MRT station heading towards One Marina Boulevard and One Raffles Quay on a Saturday morning. It is not very often that you get to see it this empty, even impossible during weekdays and for me, this was the first time. Unless you head there around 3 something in the morning on a weekday just to prove me wrong, lols. I was depressed for a moment since it kinda reminds me that one is supposed to be resting during weekends, unlike me. Sigh.

Another one, this is Pavilion late at night, well, not that late actually just around 10 something. This place will never ever look cramped due to the extensiveness of the walkways which could probably park 3 MyVis bumper to bumper. Keng!

Snap and Select.

Because I am lazy, I'll just bundle the wedding photo shoot as well as the photo selection post together-gether, save my time writing, your time reading thus everybody also happy-happy. Also, since there are no images since picture taking was strictly disallowed, there are a few stolen shot but they're with jacklyn. So I guess we'll just have to wait until every thing's ready from the studio before any sneak peeks.

Pre-requisite for the shootings:
For the guys, you'll have to bring along attires like black slack, socks, leather shoes, collared shirts of multiple variance, jeans and so on. The studio will basically provide you with just the coats, vests, tuxedos etc, etc.

April 19th, 2008 - Saturday - Photo shoot Day 1
The plan was to do shootings for 2 wedding gowns, 1 traditional costume, and finally the night shots from one in the afternoon onwards. I regretted not bringing anything along as I spent the initial 1 1/2 hours sitting there doing nothing, just staring at jacklyn getting her hair and make-up done. SIENS. I can tell you its not an easy job, one must have the ability to be super patient and at the same time pay attention to the finest details, to Yen, our stylist and make-up artist, I salute.

Mine was done in less than 15 minutes and the shooting begins, fortunately for us, we were the only couple having photo session on this day, lucky. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, in exception for the second costume where I was requested to wear some transparent shirt with a coat which I find really awkward hence decided to ask for something else. Don't you even date to start imagining anything. Oh ya, a lot of waiting since with every gown change, jacklyn needs to get her hair restyled.

We only managed to head out to Putrajaya late in the evening for the night shots due to the earlier thunderstorms. One thing I really don't understand is why still so humid and warm at night in Putrajaya, benci. Anyway, it was a fun though awkward (taking pictures in public at night) and tiring experience, you cannot imagine how happy I was hearing the words 'final shot' from Lucas, our photographer. Upon returning to the studio in Sunway, it was already 10 plus late into the night.

April 20th, 2008 - Sunday - Photo shoot Day 2
Started off with another make-up and styling session at 11 in the morning before heading out to some hutan rimba in TTDI for the outdoor shots in the afternoon. Oh, something different this time around because, there's Kim, our video man! Our tasks include squatting, sitting on stones and pebbles, shouting, running, giving piggybacks in which both of us fell, hiding behind bamboo shoots and leaves, fighting off insects, avoiding mud and pools of water and so on.

And all the while, I was sweating like a pig to the extend that the sweats were dripping off me OMG, I alone used up 2 packets of tissues. I was like a burst pipe. Oh the indescribable joy when the outdoor shootings were finally and we return to the studio. Around 3 plus in the late afternoon, it was finally a wrap, kau tim sau kung fan kau. It was time to go home, my jaws felt as though they were gonna lock and my bones nearly crumbled. At last, the ordeal is over.

April 27th, 2008 - Sunday - Photo Selection
Started at 1 in the afternoon and lasted close to 2 hours, ended up paying extra for 8 additional photographs, no thanks to Lucas who took so many excellent shots that we felt were a pity not to include in our album. Actually, we were pretty anxious initially, fearing the photos not turning out well, the journey to the studio was clouded in silence. Choosing 60 out of 240 something, if I'm not mistaken, is much, much harder than anyone can think of. Now we'll have to wait for another month or so before all the designing and photoshop-ing is done.

Happy Birthday to Me.

This day has got to be one of the happiest and most memorable day of my life, seriously. Can't even compare it to how I spent my birthday last year, the difference is just too humongous. jacklyn baby, you totally had me surprised there, your plans were so flawless that it didn't even leave me the slightest hints. You made me so the very happy that no words can express the amount of gratitude that I have for you. Okay, here's a quick summary of what happened:

During the day, it was a bit of shopping, lunch at Sakae Sushi Pavillion yang I feel tak berapa sedap, movies and a little more window shopping (where her plan nearly bocor) before going for dinner where she had made a booking someplace cosy and romantic that should remain a secret until we reach there.

Mana tau upon reaching La Bodega @ Pavilion, I was greeted by the usuals, jen, rames, pop, eugene, eri, hiew and also a special appearance by David Lai, mentalist. junn, hikaru, eunice and speeding demon adrian arrived later. Initially, I couldn't really recognize who David was until he started doing his stuff then I ter-remembered visiting his site before. Anyway, let me just express OMG so cool CAN my birthday dinner got magic perfomance, jealous or not?

me and jacklyn with David Lai. beware, through this picture he'll be reading your mind as well and you shall be giving him a call in no time. he gave me his name card and it did had me wondering for a while if the images on the card would change the longer I look at it. Thanks for being there David.

Man, this guy bent metals and broke them apart right in front of our very eyes. He's even able to, sort of like, read minds but then he said that he's just influencing the way we're thinking. I was so captivated and amazed by this live experience that it left me sweating and speechless, seriously. I think most of us felt the same way as well, you have to be there to understand how I felt and Hiew did take some videos, can ask him if you want to see.

everybody loves La Bodega

Next, the venue. Superb service, friendly staff and great food, must go back there to have my spaghetti with seafood since I exchanged mine with jacklyn's yang tak berapa sedaps, not forgetting the pleasant and comfortable environment. The staff also sang one very loud birthday song to me that got me feeling really paiseh (embarassed, red-face and all that), lols. I super recommend this place loh for whatever type of occasions. Thanks again jacklyn for organizing the dinner here.

Oh, the cake that adrian's brother made was absolutely heavenly that once bite can nearly float into the sky, chocolate with hazelnut crust, its super sedaps. You can tell when the cake was totally wiped out, could not even survive 30 mins until orang-orang yang takut gemuk also habiskan their huge slices.

super sedaps chocolate cake with hazulnuts crust oh so heavenly. when you see eri's expression when eating her slice of cake, you will know its really sedaps but too bad I don't have that with me. Adrian, I shall forever buy cakes from you.

this is me with teh OWNING cake can pawn yours anytime. can see my face red ah due to the superloud birthday song lols

Now here's the best part! Such was the impact that it resulted me tranforming into a totally different person, one part of jed that none has ever seen before. So, the gang got me an eau de toilette from Hugo Boss which is totally CUN cause I was thinking of getting one for myself. Berbanyak terima kasih yang tak terhingga to junn, jen, rames, pop, hikaru, adrian, eugene and eri, eunice, hiew and one signature that I totally cannot recognize or I might have already mentioned this person and please stop calling me uncle lah can I know I look very old until always kena approached by all the sales persons asking me to buy house, condo, cars, apply for cards, etc etc. sheesh.

Hugo Boss, I like and now I feel really tak sampai hati to use it after knowing the price yalah I always like that one unless the item has infinite usage.

And guess what jacklyn got me. guess, guess, guess, faster guess!!! She got me something that I have been wanting to get for so long that I don't even remember how long. She got me a DSLR OMG CANON 400D OMG OMG OMG!!! *stops for a while to take a deep breath* There's no wife-to-be in this whole wide world like her I tell you, please do not be envious of me. muahahaha! Even typing this got me smiling so widely like an idiot, I wanted to say something but better don't nanti become reality *touchwood first*

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG *continues OMG-ing until putus nafas* I shall sign a contract with you jacklyn dear to give you one 15 minutes massage session every alternate nights for the rest of my life

That's all the images I have now cause I got them from ah jen (except the last 2) and haven't had the chance to take from the other's yet, and yes, that's from mr hiew, mr eugene, mr rames and mr smashpop.

Okay, first I want to thank my family for their ang paus and well wishes. Next, I want to thank the bunch of guys and girls mentioned above for making all the way over to Pavilion on a Saturday night to celebrate my 25th birthday with me, your presence really means a lot to me. Thank you again. All the other SMS and MSN well wishers after seeing my muka tebal tak tau malu message, thanks a lot as well, Cherrie, E, Julia, Alien, KL, Jonathan, Kelz and also to others who I might have missed out.

Obligatory group piccah, even the peeps @ La Bodega takes good piccahs

That's all. You can read and see more of my siao face at the following:

Its About Time.

I'm kinda lazy today, so I'm not gonna do a proper post, not like I always do anyway ahems.

Well, I received some good news today and I think I'll be passing on some not so good news this coming Monday. At the mean time, I'll just hope that everything goes accordingly.

Also, today, the 25th of April, must have something to do with headhunters as I've been receiving calls from them, each from a different day, for the whole day. Is there something such as World's HeadHunter's Day?

Flavour of The Week.

who doesn't love a cup of hot chocolate on a cold, rainy day? unless you're addicted to coffee like me, that is but still, this one is really super sedap. counting down to the day the supply depletes, which we estimate will be in one week from the day of purchase. I remember in my previous company, since there were more staffs, it finished in just one single day, keng!

my favourite banana leaf rice stall found cause it shifted somewhere else. curry mutton sedaps! curry fish kuah sedaps! the price also quite cheap, rm6 only leh. the other time I ate at another shop, with only one piece of fried chicken they charge me rm8 leh, siaos.

Have Some Dim Sum.

Rushed over to TeoChew Restaurant from Thean Hou Temple after completing the submission to join the usuals, jen, junn, jacklyn, jed, hikaru, rames who was forced into submission hahaha, eunice and maykuan, for a dim sum breakfast. The restaurant is located just beside BTS and opposite of Old Pudu Jail, also next to the infamous Teo Chew Porridge restaurant.

We reached there just a little later than the agreed time, so did hikaru, kesian junn wait so long there and rames was really weird cause he parked all the way back in Sg Wang, till now I still don't know why. then eunice and maykuan arrived, and finally, jen. Actually we already started makan before everyone was there, super hungry cannot tahan already.

random, unnecessary picture

eggtarts! zomg I love eggtarts! this one, the crust was alright but the filling was really too little hence making the chewing experience quite dry. ah, I'm craving for some Tong Kee eggtarts right now.

As in every dim sum restaurant, they serve the steamed stuff like Har Kaw and Siu Mai, the fried stuff such as Lo Bak Gou, Chee Cheong Funs and desserts. Additionally, the restaurant also offers a variety of congees as well as barbequed meat, in which the waitresses will pester us to order some every once in a while (5 minutes intervals perhaps) and to me, that is extremely annoying.

WALIAO HELLO WTF LAH I heard you the first time and if I want some I will order can? That was what I wanted to shout into their ears but I didn't because I'm civilized thank you. Also, unfortunately, due to some miscommunication, jacklyn made the order for our pot of chinese tea and which resulted a nightmare for all of us and you shall know why later on. Keywords for the day would be penang, not sedap but order also, drink 30 cups of tea and some other random stuff.

some fried fishballs, mini dragon dumplings yang memang tau tak sedap but someone insisted on ordering, siu mais and har kaws (prawn dumplings)

prawn chee cheong funs, some unknown stuff that jen likes and fried lobak cake

jen's fingers, hikaru's fingers holding the most expensive plate of char siew I've ever eaten, the scallop porridge that was surprisingly quite cheap, and some fried foo-chuk with prawns that squirts out oil with every bite.

Well, if you ask me about the food, I wouldn't really know since I normally dine in those kopitiam-ish dim sum shops. So, according to our dim sum expert, miss jacklyn who used to dine there quite frequent, the quality of food has deteriorated so much that her family also dun want makan there already. I feel it was quite alright though but my judgement might be clouded by hunger. Okay, now for the damage of the day for 8 persons and also the cause behind the abovementioned nightmare.

and the final damage. now, if you can see the area highlighted in red, that's the mistake that we made in letting jacklyn order out tea, its so special that it costs RM3 per person. RM3 outside can buy one pot of tea already in case you dunno. And if you see the second item, that's the price of the plate char siew, can eat 8 packets of char siew rice outside. btw, the special tea ordered was Char Wong (King of Teas).

Application Submission.

And so, we headed over to the Marriage Registration Office in Thean Hou Temple last Saturday, early in the morning, to submit our application and also to slot in our appointment on some specific dates, upon the insistence of Mum. She seemed to have spent quite an effort looking for dates suitable for marriages that falls on Saturdays and way before the Hungry Ghost Festivals. To think that she used to say any dates will do and no need so mafan (troublesome), sheesh.

On reaching, I headed into the office to have our documents verified, dunno why Jacklyn refused to come in and waited outside initially. Then I was given the registration form and instructed to head to another office nearby (Syarikat Megah) to have them filled and submitted, you can request for them to speak in English, in case you dunno. Had to pay RM29 there in which I totally forgot to ask what for since I was, ahems, overly-excited I guess. With the receipt in hand, I was to head back to the main office to slot in the date.

Had to take the queue number this time and while waiting for our turn, we see couples arriving for their solemnization and that somehow made me feel very anxious all of a sudden. Soon enough, it was our turn; we booked our slot (Mum gave us a choice of either 10th, 21st or 30th of May) and paid another sum of money before heading back to Syarikat Megah again to show our proof of payment and finlly, the whole submission process is officially over. Now we just have to wait for the BIG day.

A picture of the main registration office taken while waiting for our turn, if you focus hard enough, you might just see our reflections there, lols.

Okay, here's a list of items that will be required to submit an application:
# 2 copies of IC of bride and bridegroom, each - one for main office, another for Syarikat Megah
note: both front and back of IC should be on the same page of an A4 paper and preferbly copied on a top-bottom position

# 1 copy of IC of each witness
note: same as above, both front and back of IC should be on the same page of an A4 paper and preferbly copied on a top-bottom position

# 1 copy of Birth Certificate of bride and bridegroom, each
note: both front and back of Birth Certificate should be copied on the front and back page of an A4 paper

# 1 passport photo of bride and bridegroom, each
note: must be the normal processed ones and not the instant type

# bring along the original Birth Certificate as well as IC
note: for them to verify the originality

# bring more money
note: RM29 for the Syarikat Megah one, you can help me ask what's that for and RM99 for the Registration office

Other notable items/instructions:
# the A4 papers should not be cut, just leave it as it is

# the fees mentioned above is only applicable to registration at Thean Hou Temple, I heard its cheaper elsewhere

# there's a florist shop next to Syarikat Megah where you can do your photostatings, be prepared for her blabbering/marketing as well

# you can bring along video-men, camera-men or whatever-men during the solemnization ceremony, for recording purposes

# the solemnization date should be at least 21 days after submission but within 2 months and can only be between Tuesday to Saturday

Evolution.

Evolution is a process in which something develops into a more advanced stage, this definition can be applied to biological development of a human, physically or mentally ala Heroes. Now that you have the clear and big picture, let's drill into the finer details. The truth is, I think I have undergone the above mentioned process not so recently. I have, evolved.

I began to realize a certain chain of events that occur every time I do something in particular, its almost scary. To determine that I am not imagining things, I began to note down the subsequent occurrences every time I do something in particular, just to determine the pattern and the result of this mini experiment with myself being the research subject yielded the following findings, based on 20 studies:

Power #1 :: Rain summoning
Accuracy :: 19/20, 95% accurate

To summon rain, I just need to wash wife #2 a.k.a. my car since it never fails to rain every single time I'm done with the washing, too frequent to be ignored. And lately, perhaps the effectiveness of this power or ability have increased tremendously because it'll start raining even before I complete the washing, just like today. Sunshine and a clear blue sky, best condition but then sudden downpour when I was only managed till the driver's door.

Too bad I can't control the severity of the rain though.

Power #2 :: Cause traffic congestion
Accuracy :: 17 congestions out of 20 tries, 85% accurate

This one is even better, its not like I'm stopping suddenly in the middle of the road but it seems like every route that I try would be congested even when told otherwise. One good example that I have would be the tidal flow on Loke Yew, if I take the flow, it would be congested and the main road moving (manageable). And if I take the main road, its the other way round. Then if I try taking an alternative route, I will still be stuck in weird or nonsensical congestions.

I shall henceforth be known as Jed, the Bringer of Traffic Congestion.

I'll Be Your Wish

This is Sooka Sentral, it houses all the expensive and non-filling restaurants/eateries. Even dining in the food court here is more costly compared to the similar around its vicinity. An example would be as below. Oh, this place also houses a gym with one small-ass rock climbing column, many promotional posters with huge-ass rock climbing images and a sarcastic employee manning the counter, dumb asses. I'm looking forward to the day you guys close shop.

Needless to say, Lunch + Jen + Indecisive Jed + Sentral area = Sushi King, with only 0.007% error margin. Well, let's put it this way, eating at any restaurants/eateries here would costs something similar to a filling meal in Sushi King, unless you can get full eating a single plate of sushi. My colleagues and I often pass-by and see the place packed with lunch-goers and we subsequently concluded that some dine there just to show off, for each meal they have there, its a few nights of instant noodles for them. Anyway, it was meant as a joke but seriously, you can have a plate of fried kuey teow for RM3.80 in Brickfields, which is much nicer anyway, compared to the same thing for RM13.80 here.

I ordered for a Kodomo Bento while Jen ordered a Kodomo Lion, indeed, she really said that to the employee taking our orders. And since Cherrie was obviously deprived of Japanese Food and Sushi King, we decided to do something good and send her images of these and sushis, can't eat at least can see. Also, Jen is reminding everyone that the RM2 sushi promo will be starting again on the 21st of March, this coming Monday.

I'll Be Your Dream

## I would have never, ever been able to imagine that the Singapore High Comission in KL is in such a sad state if I had not seen it with my very own eyes. Went there to cancel my EP and was totally taken aback by its condition, very un-Singapore-ish.

## Might be heading back to SG again next week, so siens. I guess this will never end until something happens and that something is happening, I hope.

## I spent a total of RM 24.50 on parkings alone the other day, leading me to the conclusion that driving around KL running errands is a very costly chore.

## I headed over to the UOB branch in ParkRoyal to open an account as requested by The Company around 11 something. Surprisingly, only one desk was manned, so, I waited. Much, much later, I was approached by another personnel and I told her that I wanted to open a savings account. She said some form of notification from The Company was required for screening purpose in order for them to proceed, so troublesome one. Then they found out that I have a dormant account with them, so just need to reactive it, case settled.

## I am not taxable in Malaysia, again. I tried to proceed with the registration first so that I can obtain the PIN for e-filing but was rejected, the guy at LHDN told me to return next year and do it step by step instead.

## The Shell station opposite Taman Midah has finally begun its operations. Unfortunately, there's only one entrance from the main road, meaning that I had to drive all the way to the roundabout outside Taman Pertama, make a U-turn and drive all the way back to access the station. That's just plain stupid.

## Loads of people was angry yesterday, a friend in SG, a colleague in KL and a drian

## AbangPop organized an online primary school reunion yesterday evening, I was shocked to know that he has been keeping in touch with so many of them till now, unlike me *deeply ashamed*. Glad to know that everyone's doing well.

Tai Thong ada Promotion!

First and foremost, I would like to wish my dearest Mum a Happy, Joyful and Wonderful Birthday!!! With you good health always. Hope you like the present that Sis and I got you and please stop asking for the price, rosak mood lah. See how close Mum's and Dad's birthdays are, and mine's coming soon as well, all in April except for Sis, lols.

Kay, back to the topic. Its the All You Can Eat Dinner Promotion at Tai Thong restaurants, Sis heard about it over the radio and promptly booked everyone in the family for dinner last Sunday, hence couldn't make it to your party Eunice, sorry yah. Part of the dinner was to celebrate Dad's birthday, and the other part shall remain top secret. Our destination, Tai Thong's Imperial City Restaurant in Cheras, opposite Leisure Mall at 7pm but manatau, the organizer arrived late.

Basically, for this promotion, you'll be given a menu and in the menu, the food items are catogerized. There are two packages available, the RM 59++ one where you can order absolutely anything including shark fins (category A), suckling pigs (category B), expensive seafoods, abalones (category C) and others (category lain-lain) BUT only one portion per category for A, B and C. Then, there's the RM 39++ package that includes only category lain-lain, if you want, you can eat until your stomach explodes. BTW, children pays less.

Another important condition, its a minimum 5 pax per visit. You can find out more by clicking here. The category lain-lain ranges on dishes from seafood to meat, vegetables to rice and noodles, and not forgetting desserts. Let's see what we had, in randome order, jom...

Sing Kuah Beancurd, its basically fried beancurd with some plants which I know not of its name in English, i seek forgiveness

From TopLeft clockwise - Prawns in Superior Soy Sauce (Si Yau Wong Har), Steamed Patin fish, Barbequed duck and the Seafood Fried Noodle which was ordered after the dessert, much to the surprise of the waitress, like terkejuts wahrao they still can makan

Steamed Catfish which was 88% better than the Patin and best of all, it was piping hot, fulamak shiok

From TopLeft clockwise - Some unknown braised chicken, Loh Hon Zai, Salted Vegetable soup yummies can function like ENO, Scallop and Crab Meat thick soup (you know and I know its not the actual name)

the dessert of Shueet Yee, Longan and Hoi Tai Yeh (sea coconut)

From TopLeft clockwise - Stir Fried vegetables with Lotus, the stuff you see on top of that dish is either dried slices of fish or squid. Woh Peng, sedaps and lastly, Ham Yu Fah Lam Pou (salted fish and pork belly?)

Now, if you can count, in total, the 6 of us had 14 dishes altogether and that averages to 2.3 dish per person. The thing was, initially, we thought the portion would be typically small, just enough for one scoop per person since its a buffet dinner hence can try more dishes. Manatau, everything comes in portion for 5, at least. And so, if anyone interested, faster go and book for a meal before the promotion ends.

Lookie What I Spottie.

I made a left turn into the parking's entrance and I saw a black coloured satria neo, I somehow had a gut feeling that it belongs to jen. As I drove nearer, I saw the vinyl, no need to see the number plate also can confirm its her's already. Tried to video call her to inform her of my discovery but cannot get through at all, so sent MMS instead. Got to know much-much later the she either ter-left the phone in the car or ter-left the phone in the house or ter-jatuh it somewhere. Adois.

spotted jen's car early in the morning, mine was two rows in front of hers. judging from her car's location, she could have reached about 15 minutes earlier than me. garang siut! wanted to camho with the car but pai seh cause a lot of people around, some might just be my potential employer in the future, lols.

this one taken when balik that time, I went OMG cause initially, I thought she photoshopped the jennihsurf.net onto her car one but mana tau its for real. so, braving the downpour and the strong winds also have to take a picture first. and there is jen entering her car to proof that its really her car and I was really there, lols.

6th on 14th.

Its about us again and guess what, today, the 14th of April 2008 marks our sixth anniversary of togetherness. 6 years of long distance relationship when I'm in Singapore or elsewhere and normal ones when I'm home, such dynamicism. Anyway, I'm kinda speechless now because my mind is still occupied with thoughts of how we actually manage through that all, especially tolerating with each other's behaviour for such long durations. It's almost, magical or maybe it was just me giving in to her tantrums all the time.

This day shall mark our final annivesary on the 14th as well because starting from next year onwards, we shall no longer be able to maintain our status as a couple. Unable to continue withstanding the pressure from her, as well as our parents anymore, we'll be... getting married at the end of this year lah. Lols! Did I manage to scare anyone? Perhaps not since most already know about it, sigh; therefore, the change of date in accordance to the wedding day loh, simple as that.

Ah, the wedding bells ring, its gonna be half a year really soon from the day that I proposed and up until now, we have yet to get our marriage registration done, we seem to be doing it in reverse. Not only that, her interest seems to have shifted totally from the wedding to the house renovation ever since the purchase was confirmed. I'm beginning to feel more and more unprepared as the big day draws nearer but at the same time, I have no idea what to prepare. Its like a worry that is empty.

This coming weekend would be the photoshoot and I'm very terribly anxious. I think I've made all the necessary preparations, shoes, matching shirts, black slacks and all that in exception for a handsome face and cun body, hope they have my size as well. I pray for a clear blue sky, rainless night, no cramps due to oversmiling and everything going smooth all the way, Amen. Must practise smiling starting from today.

Last but not least, Happy 6th Anniversary midarling, believe me when I say my life would never be the same without you. *continues to say all mushy-mushy stuff that others won't be able to tolerate so must censor here if not they will all vomit their breakfast, lunch and dinner out altogether* Love you always. I hope you really like the little gift I got you and I should really stop getting you that since your table is really overflowing with them.

Clumsy.

The story of jacklyn. She walked over to the stairs and was about to climb down when she realized that she has yet to switch off the lights for the washroom. She made her way back, switched them off she walked towards the stairs again as I made my way up. Then, the unexpected happened, she tripped over the telephone cable for the very first time.

She skipped, trying to maintain her balance. I ran up, afraid she'll fall and roll down the stairs. She then fell but fortunately, managed to avoid the stairs, I let out a sigh of relief as I held her. She stood up and starts cursing and blaming the cable *sweat* then indirectly me for leaving it laying around *sweat times two*. I pushed her down the stairs, just kidding.

My immediate response at that time was, "WahLao, you like that also can ah?"

Other than nearly detaching the switches out of the wall (I know it'll be a little hard to visualize), the little plant in a beer mug that I have in my room was smashed to pieces as well. Seems like the cable was lifted and swiped accross the top of the mini-cupboard which pushed the mug down when tripping occured. The aftermath, my room was wet and filled with shattered glass all over.

Aih, malam-malam kasi kerja saya buat. I spent the next half-an-hour wiping, drying and picking up tiny shards of plastic like glass while she went down to watch TV. Hahaha, actually, I made her go down since she's so clumsy, letter her clean the mess might just add a few more cuts to her lebams, later she blame me again.

and thus ends the story of jacklyn. Aih, next time really don't know how, everything buy plastic one.

Phew, dedications finally done, there's really quite a number of people I know born in April eh, including *coughs*ahems*myself*coughs* my Mum. Today was pretty hectic because I spent alsmot the whole day driving here and there, starting at 9am from my house to Jln Ipoh - Wisma Central - Jln Ipoh - home - Thean Hou Temple - her house - Pandan Indah - home, I managed to cover close to 140km in about half-a-day.

Thean Hou Temple

Jln Ipoh for car service, Wisma Central to sign some agreements, fetch her Sis to ballet at Pandan Indah and Thean Hou Temple, this one ah, because we wanted to get the forms for our registration, ahahas, but then the office was closed, only half day on Saturdays. So disappointing due to the excitement before that, no one to blame because it was our mistake for not finding out the working hours first. That'll have to wait another day.

Since we can't get the forms, I took a picture of the processes involved instead but then again, its in chinese and regrettably, I can't read chinese. We later found the English version in the notice board at the back, saved!!!

Fooed. Foot. Food.

Assorted dishes from restaurants or hawker stalls in KL and SG, because I am too lazy to do reviews and these images have been in my phone for too long. The time to let them out and serve their purpose has come, its now or never. Have fun drooling over them, wish you a pleasent and filling meal later.

Steamed vegetables served with stewed mushrooms. Fresh and crunchy vegetables with soft yet spongy shitake mushrooms, absolutely marvellous. Location, SG.

Forgot the name of this dish, basically its fish wrapped in a bread filled with chunks of salt then oven baked to perfection, yums. For me, it would definitely be better if its just a little more dry. Location, KL.

Herbal chicken with a twist. As you can see for yourself, there's also sea cucumber, mushrooms and 'yue piew' present in this dish, really worth the price loh! But then, kinda lost the herbal-ness at the same time. Location, SG.

The infamous Thai-style Pandan chicken, super sedaps. The leaves were fried to the state that is so crunchy, it breaks. Location, KL.

Thai style tofu which basically is deep fried beancurd topped with sweet and sour sauce which is normally spicy. Got bits of peanuts as well, this one special a bit cause got shredded mango and pineapple totally enhancing its flavours. Location, SG.

Very normal punya stir-fried vegetables, with lots of garlics, me like. Location, KL.

Message.

This is a message coming from her, she's saying that I bullied and made her angry every single day without fail. I jokingly mention that I shall put that statement into my blog to let other's be the judge and she dared me to do it, hence this post. So how?

p/s: no worries, we're still in good terms. The above scenario was caused by me refusing to let her know the password into my blog, lols.

p/p/s: Jacklyn is actually a very amazing person. One minute she's scolding me for always bullying her, which is absolutely not true. Another minute she's complaining that I'm spending more time with the PC than with her, which is 50% true. The next minute, she's sound asleep.

I sat. I looked. I slept.

I sat in front of my PC, lauched IE, logged into Blogger and opened up the interface to write a new entry. My fingers firmly placed on the keyboard but there was not even the slightest movement.

Nothing is coming clearly in my mind, occupied with a thousand thoughts yet nothing's that connected. Like a herd of sheep all wondering in its own direction, not lost but not together. I looked around, in the real world as well as the digital world for some sort of enlightenment.

Kau Ilhamku by ManBai playing in the background, coincidentally.

I totally lost the initiative to write anything anymore, reading is definitely more fun than writing, at least now. Nothing interesting happening lately and its affecting my posts as well, sigh. Well, I can write about my boring life but nothing susbtantial is coming. The train of thought stopped at Serdang instead of going all the way to Singapore.

I turned my chair sideways and rested my legs on the bed. I looked at the bed, I yawned. I looked at the monitor, I yawned again. I looked at Pop's blog, I yawned again and again, no, just kidding. I gave a little push on the power switch and the screen went black.

I crawled onto my bed and covered myself with blanket. The new post would just have to wait another day.

Home.

Note to self - please be reminded that zebra crossings in KL is nothing more than paintings of white stripes on the road, serving no additional purpose at all. Be reminded that no vehicles will stop for you to cross, do the look right-left-right thing and vehicles behind you will blast their horns if you decide to stop for pedestrians. Such is the case.

The above statement is due to yours truly nearly pulling the handbrakes when Jacklyn was going to zoom past the crossing with people waiting at both ends, only to realize in the last minute that I'm no longer in Singapore. Think I'm getting too used to life over there.

Even when paying for lunch, I handed over 20 dollars to the cashier just like that, then she also blindly accept and key in the amount only to realize much, much later that its a different currency. I saw her fiddling with the 10 dollar note, as if trying to figure its origin or assuming it was some fake monopoly-like money. Sama-sama blur case.

Also, everything suddenly felt so expensive. Anyway, just to inform y'all that I'm once again back in KL and please don't ask me how long I'll be staying or when I'm heading back again because I myself have no idea at all for the time being.

Lunch at Panettone.

It has been some time since I last did a jalan-jalan cari makan post of food in KL. What to do, with a particular someone keeping a sharp eye on my diet, I can hardly eat like I used to anymore. Worst, I'm being assaulted mentally as well, with her frequently saying that I'm fat and I guess that she even managed to influence Mom into doing the same. Huhuhu, there's no meaning in life anymore.

To look for the restaurant, looks for this sign. The word panettone has a meaning of its own, click here to read more about it.

Okay, back to the original stuff. Panettone is one of the many eateries available in KL Sentral, located at Level 1. I have always wanted to dine here ever since the first day I saw this place but its always that crowded during lunch hour that I gave up everytime until that fateful day. Browsing through the menu, the dishes are more inclined towards western cuisine, with some variety of rice available. Too bad I had to go on a vegetarian diet that day, not because of her restriction, it was religion.

Waiting time is not too long in exception for munak's Beef Fried Rice which we reckoned the cow was on the run and they have yet to catch it.

Soya drink, Ice lemon tea and supposingly Fresh Lime juice that was made from some liquid based concoction as seen by munaks. blergh. M's hand in the background.

My Vegetarian Pita Bread. Nothing special and beware, not really filling as well.

M's rice with Japanese curry. According to my colleague, it was pretty good but for me, I can't see any Japanese related items/ingredients in that. lols. The carrots perhaps.

munak's beef fried rice which took forever to prepare, runaway cow and according to him, it was not good at all.

It was about 11-12 plus per person which was some would consider normal taking its location into the factor but for me, still a little on the pricy side. Portion and taste, pretty standard as well but I then again, I didn't have the choice to order those recommended dishes. Perhaps I was expecting a little more since there's always a huge crowd, hence the wee bit of disappointment.

All I can say is, depending on the waiting time, I might just head there again and next time, I'll make sure that I'm not on any type of restriction that day.

SlamDunk!

I've just completed all the 276 episodes and felt like playing basketball all over again, although I suck big time at it. Now I know why it was once regarded the #1 manga of all times, SlamDunk is absolutely a masterpiece. If you're interested as well, just head on over to onemanga.com, its free and all you need to do is prevent your colleagues, supervisor or managers from knowing. Sheeeee...

In actual fact, back in 1998 was when I first came across this series and was so captivated by it that I even went for the chinese version, even though tak faham langsung, just to keep up with the latest chapters. Just flip through, don't care. Well, if you know not, normally for japanese mangas, the chinese version will be published much, much sooner.

I recall that I didn't get to finish the whole thing, missing out a little on the beginning, some mid parts and the ending was by verbal. So sad.

Aha, back then, a group of us was so into SlamDunk that we formed our own Shohoku basketball team and since there were 5 of us, we each took one character. We even had a look-a-like Anzai Sensei but much younger, lols. The truth is, only 2 of us knew how to play back then and we didn't even have a basketball court in school, so much for thinking of becoming a dream team eh?

But we did have practise sessions on Saturdays at a court nearby our friend's place where we would normally lepak. Ah, those were the days where everything seemed possible.

Time Waits for No One.

FOUND! I've been looking for this clip for quite sometime and I've finally, finally found it! My hard work and determination has finally paid off, I can sleep easy tonight. Well, I'm talking about a performance by the trio that I don't really know during some TVB event, you know lah, they got so many events that only avid followers would be able to keep up. Without further adjourn, the video. Die-die also must watch okay?

While searching around, I also came across another commendable performance by Hins Cheung and Patrick Tang, also during some TVB event. If you ask me, I prefer Hins's performance because he carried the tone of the female as well male character really well but that's just me.

p/s: yes, I know that the title has nothing to do with the content, its just that I could come out with something else, hehehe.

Subway.

Is really, really, really expensive in KL. Paying 17.75 for a loaf of one foot whole meal bread with turkey, onions, cucumber, cabbage and mayonnaise is just a little too much. Even the spendthrift king, munaks, felt the pinch when paying for his overpriced lunch. That sum can probably last me a week's worth of lunch.

That's also more than enough for a Large McValue Meal + 6 pieces of nuggets at McDs or a dinner plate at KFC or a quarter chicken meal at Kenny Rogers or probably a main course at Secret Recipe, all available in KL Sentral. Perhaps even a meal from one of the posh looking restaurants in Sooka.

Lesson learnt, should always ask for the price first. Nothing wrong asking for the price first, nevermind if there's a long queue behind you, ask for the price first. I shall have all the Subway I can in SG before heading back, huah!

makan dalam office, that's part of my desk, part of my keyboard and part of my mouse.

healthy for your body but not healthy for your money. it rhymes, i'm a genius.

Gown Selection - StarEast.

For the wedding photoshoots. It was two Saturdays ago when we finally headed over to StarEast to finalize on the dates, the locations and most importantly, the gowns. With such a wide range of wedding and night gowns to choose from, 2 floors of them, I already expected to waste spend at least half a day there.

But miraculously, everything was kau-tim in just two and a half hours, Mid-Valley also cannot finish walk if shopping. 7 gowns were carefully selected out of the 89,372,674 available. It was so freakishly fast that I didn't even get to complete a level of Puzzle Bubble on my NDS. Before leaving, I was slapped with yet another huge bill which accounts for the second part of the 3 phase payment plan, huhuhu.

To find out the reason, a careful analysis was done over the past few days and the result, a guide for all the guys out there on how to survive and avoid absolute boredom during the selection process:

#1 - Have her bring a friend who has similar fashion taste/sense to assist in her selection, it will really, really help! In our case, I thank auntie june from the bottom of my heart for tagging along, a word of advice from you would be equivalent to me blabbering for an hour and still couldn't get through to her. However, the consequence of this would be, of course, you being ignored most of the time, hence, refer to item #4.

#2 - Choose the right person from the studio to assist you, friend-friend him/her also, maintaining a healthy relationship with this individual will prove to be extremely helpful. In our case, any words of praise would not be enough for Ms. Ally, the Asst. Manager of StarEast. The amount of attention and assistance coming from her knows no boundaries, to the extend that she even know the type of cuttings and designs that'll suit Jacklyn. Needless to say, quite a few of the selected ones are her recommendations. Got hidden perks as well, cannot tell here *smirks*

#3 - Other than lending a helping eye, the selection process has nothing to do with us, totally. Other than doing the payments, that is. From what I get to know, the attire for the guys will be selected (by them, not you) based on the gowns, to complement, so to said. How sad it is right? We can probably catch a quick nap on the sofa since there's already #1 to help her out (that's why #1 is important) or you can proceed to #4.

#4 - Bring along something to keep yourself occupied, be it a book, a magazine or a handheld console because dozing off in the studio is still an unsightly behaviour. The advice is to have something that doesn't require that much attention since your future-wife-to-be will still be asking for your opinion although not taken seriously. Hence you can preset yourself with the following automated replies during the selection :: 1) Cannot Make It and 2) Very Pretty.

And there you have it, the ultimate survival guide for guys during the gown selection process. For a totally different view on it, please click here to be redirected to Jacklyn's post which has pictures, stolen from me obviously which I also curi-curi take one, lols so I won't repost them here. Anyway, if you find the above guide helpful, please show me some love but then I'd rather have you donate some cash to Jed's Wedding Fund.

Thank you very much, remember to donate.

April Fool.

On the very first day of April, I returned to the office around 3 something in the morning from client's office to find both the entrances into the building locked. No signs of the security guard nearby, weird. Worse, even lift access to other floors through the basement was locked.

And I thought, is this somekind of an april fool joke? Here I am, lugging a CPU, rushing for a dateline and I'm stucked outside the office building, someone's gotta be kidding me! Practically banged on the glass door a few more thousand times before the guard was finally jolted awake.

A sight of relief.

No jokes on me and no jokes on others from me because I was sleeping when everyone's awake and awake when everyone else is sleeping. Wait, someone did trick me, you know who you are. And I thought E was planning the same as well when he suddenly messaged me to help him tapau dinner but turned out it was actually for real.

Am back to Singapore btw, in case you didn't know, hence the night shift, back to the diet of McD for dinner once again. The ringing of phones a little past midnight is really beginning to creep me out.
