Movies watched recently...
Resident Evil: Extinction
Compared to its prequels, this one employed a lot of sudden loud sound effects to scare the soul out of you, that's the only main difference I noticed. Perhaps the birds as well. Else, its just loads of zombie shooting and slashing and shooting again, victims mutating and so on. And the final fight-scene, ended as though they ran out of budget, too easy, too soon. Anyway, this is supposed to be the final installment (according to Sony Pictures) but the ending seems to say otherwise.
Balls of Fury
Don't even bother asking me what I was thinking when I bought the tickets, it was just spur of the moment and the only other choices I had was Nanny Diaries (ew?) and Lust, Caution (don't feel like watching it with E, heard that it was massively censored as well). Funniest being listening to Maggie Q speak in cantonese, especially the part where she told her opponents to stop staring at her boobs.
I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry
One of the movies where the showtimes screen wasn't able to display the title completely. The movie was absolutely hilarious! Go watch, especially if you're a fan of Adam Sandler, though its not a must. You'll be entertained.
Other movies watched not so recently...
The Invasion
Just because there's Nicole Kidman
Rogue Assassin
Nothing can go wrong when there's Jet Li. Were you able to predict the ending because you should be able to as there were various hints along the storyline, that is if you paid enough attention to it. The no smoking part, the wife-child part, etc. etc. Ending was kinda weird though. There were some scenes that I think would have been censored in the Malaysian cinemas, hahaha, let's just say, it was a first and it was a real eye-opener!
Come to think of it, I think I watch more movies here compared to when I'm in KL.
On another note, guess what! Another set of earphones gone, just like that. Read about the previous one here. It's the same case no matter how much I spend on them. I'm contemplating of getting a boombox now as this would be the third set of earphones gone in like, span of a year plus? Sigh, R.I.P. the third one.
