Only a short absence from blogging and I already find myself having difficulties in expressing my thoughts, unable to pen them down as effortlessly as I used to. For this line itself, I rewrote it almost 17 times.
OH – AM – GEE!
Anyway, on the weekend I was back in KL, Dad suggested lunch (after my Bak Kut Teh breakfast that is, BRING IT ON!) at MPV Seafood restaurant, an eatery co-owned by someone he met during his occasional morning networking-walks, located just a stone's throw away from home. Curious on how the name came about, we seeked for an answer which the ladyboss casually mentioned it's referring to your Master, Platinum and Visa cards. Hahaha. Wait, thinking back, maybe she wasn't joking. I tell you, the restaurant is like a Feng Shui house, you see ornaments and small statues and figurines here and there, some even filled with coins. So, four dishes were ordered as I once and again mentioned that I had a heavy breakfast. The thing about Dad is, if not surpressed, will most probably go into an order frenzy mode *cast berserk*.
So, in the end, the decision was for a Stir-Fried Fish Slices with Ginger and Spring Onions, Prawns in Superior Soy Sauce, Stir-Fried Vegetables and Steamed Tofu topped with Fried Spring Onions. Fuh, maybe I can consider a career in menu writing and become so good in it that I'll be invited to write menus worldwide. *totally admires self* Obsessed in the world of DS, I didn't pay much attention to Sis and Dad discussing about a new dish because the fish cannot make it, I mean, there were some issues about the fish. They settle for some weird-clamish seafood dish that's pretty huge, sliced into thin layers. Can either be eaten raw (which sucks big time) or cooked in a specially prepared Soup (herbal with vegetables and beancurd). I think the time and technique in cooking this clamish thingy is pretty similar to beef slices, too quick, its raw but too long, the texture becomes hard.

The Weird-Clamish-Thingy which most of its meat, spread across the ice, already eaten. You can still see some in its shell. Taken with the gf's NEW phone, with superior 3.0MP camera compared to my museum worthy 1.3MP, interpolated.
The soup, like steamboat hoh? Not to be drank straight, a little too salty for my liking.
The white-ish thingy below the vegetable and with a 'Kei Zi' on top of it is one of the slices. Shrunk after cooking. Well, just so you know, 'Kei Zi' is good for your eyes, but eating too much will cause heatiness. Its sweet tasting.
The HUGE prawn. I purposely maximize the angle t compare the length of the fork with ze prawn, which is only like the length of its head. Even its legs contained meat! Fuh-Wah! Pity the gf cannot eat prawns, He-He-He.
Its a pretty expensive meal, with the bill coming around RM 400++, like, 50% of my DS, inclusive of all the taxes and service charges, as the weird-clamish thing was blood-sucking, that alone set us back about RM 250+. The prawns, RM 40 each, because its like, HHHUUGGGGEEEEEEE! Which indirectly means higher cholesterol intake... *looks at own self* I think I should go jog. All in all, its a pretty good (but expensive, again I have to stress) place to dine, friendly ladyboss, good service, great food. After completing this post, I seriously feel that all the fats I manage to shake off in SG are regained (possibly even more) when I return to KL, once in a while, for the weekends.
