Jed *hearts* J-Pop.

No idea why, but I'm suddenly drawn to Japanese songs once again, the previous being about 6-7 years ago, that was probably due to all those Japanese Series shown on TV3. Honestly, I probably have 0% idea on what they're going on about, but the funky beats are just irresistable! Well, music is universal, no barriers, anyone from anywhere can listen to anything, just like food. yums...

May J & M-Flo (also known as Verbal) :: Here We Go. Another song from her, My Girls, its quite good as well, a very happy-fying song.

BoA & M-Flo (also known as Verbal) :: The Love Bug. Jed *hearts* BoA! Jed *hearts* BoA! Jed *hearts* BoA! Another Happy-fying song.

Reira ft. Yuna Ito :: Truth. Somehow I just stumbled upon this song and fall in love with it immediately OMG. It must be destined or fated that I come across it.

p/s: Of which, I have this tendency or rather, a habit, of listening to a song that I enjoy repeatedly, maybe infinitely, which would definitely cause the people around me to vomit blood if not for the marvel of earphones.

Jed don't know.

The absence was caused by you know what, so, I'll save you the details.

It all started about 2 weeks back, if I recalled correctly. That night, out of a sudden, my nose picked up a foul stench lingering in my room, something similar to the smell from clogged drains. I didn't pay much attention initially but when the it continued for a few days back-to-back, I begin searching my room for the source, it did strike me that some forgotten leftovers might be the cause. In conclusion, it was coming from outside as the stench was strongest at the window panes but looking out, everything seems perfectly fine to me. Got me wondering.

Puzzled, I began paying a greater deal of attention this matter on hand, to which I discovered that the stench always begin after midnight. I did not stay up purposely to time can? I normally reach home only around 10, so my awake hours are extended a little. And you know what, coincidentally, its the month of Hungry Ghost Festival. I know I sound superstitious but can't help it. I managed to discuss with the girlfriend and she adviced me to always carry and keep my charm close, which I did. After a day or two, everything returned normal.

If you ask me, I'll say that I have no idea what was causing it or I'd rather now know in the end. I mean, it might just as simple and logical as overflowed dumpster or clogged drainage coupled with the weather which so happen to coincide with all the events. Or not. I guess some things are better left unknown.

Jed Listens.

E sent me this link. If you're mandarin literate, all the better.

Music is life.

And I think I am attracted/addicted/whatever to Vanessa Hudgens. Can I have High School Musical 2 please?

Jed is Eating.

Herro.

Blogging from Carl's Jr. in Plaza Singapura, eating the new Teriyaki Burger, combo set with criss cut fries and ice lemon tea yums. As you can see, I am still taunting Kelz even though there's an outlet in The Curve, but it will never taste the same because NO BACON = ROSAK. I am so evil.

Maybe I really should grow up a little and stop doing this...

With me now is KY the Monkey who's gonna become a husband soon...

Jed is Working.

On Sunday as well. Enough said.

Been taking Indian Food quite regularly these days, due to late hours in office and working on weekends, not much choice but to join the others. Up to the point that I have better knowledge on where to get good Indian food, rather than Chinese cuisines. Hhhmmm...

And you know what? I think life has been so routined that I am currently able to write a detailed timetable for myself. W00t! And the High School Musical game on DS kinda sucks lah weh...

Jed is Crazy.

Vanessa Hudgens' Say OK has repeated close to 78+ times.

Vanessa Hudgens' Come Back to Me around 23+ times.

Fish Leong's Qin Qin about 11+ times.

Fish Leong & Victor's Ming Ming Hen Ai Ni (Love You Obviously) nearly 38+ times. MTV quite entertaining.

Victor's Wu Ke Jiu Yao has repeated close to 17+ times. Cute MTV, I like.

All through YouTube. Here's one from Vanessa Hudgens. I think I am addicted to her songs... die. Its all the girlfriend's fault, for playing her CD when I was driving. In actual fact, I think I was the one who poisoned her initially... hahaha.

Jed meets Jo-Rin.

Had the chance to meet up with Jolene and Erin who's blog has been placed in a protected mode and I do not have the password thus I cannot access so sad can, last Friday for dinner when the former came for a trip while the latter with shopping mode on high gear. And fortunately enough, the client decided to close earlier that particular day, else I would either (i) be very late or (ii) be very, very late or (iii) FFK. Then no one wanna ask me out again, how?

Its kinda weird right, how we had the opportunity to meet in only Singapore when we're just living around Klang Valley. Fate? Perhaps. Anyway, destination, Din Tai Fung, a chinese eatery in Wisma Atria recommended by many, yet to try because there's always a long, long waiting list. We only got a table after waiting more than 20 minutes. Pictures courtesy of Jolene, thank you. *bows in appreciation*

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, Xiao Loong Baos (Small Dragon Dumplings?). We successfully consumed each and every without spilling the soup. What an achievement! *beams in pride*

All of us in Din Tai Fung. Looks as though I tumpang meja then tumpang glamour in the picture, hahaha. They clean-up so fast (there's still a waiting line outside) that we had no choice but to find some other place to continue chit-chatting.

Me and my plate of Fried Rice with Shrimp and Egg. I tell you, there are soooooo many huge shrimps in that plate of rice that you could probably stack a mini shrimp tower. Nonsence, I know. Finally, a decent meal... Yums.

Dessert of Ice-Cream Potong from Orchard Road, which is quite addictive, at least for me. Welcome to the dark side, hahaha.

More images (be warned, a bandwidth KILLER) from Jolene's post, go see. Nothing's better than great company. So, whoever's coming down to SG, must find me for dinner OKAY! MUST! Else I might die from loneliness.

p/s :: E-Lene sounds good too right? Hhhmmm...

Jed is Robot.

Thus, one of the clients commented,

"Ei, morning I come in, I see you sitting there already, working in front of your laptop. Same goes when I go out and come back from lunch. Not only that ah, every other time when I come into the meeting room, always see you working there one. When I head-off, also still see you working. How come I never see you away ah? No need to eat one ah? Seriously lah, you robot ah?"

Jed is Superman.

Hello!

Just to tell you that at this current moment, I've been working for the past 14 hours straight, only took 15 minutes to head to 7-11 for a quick lunch of curry puff and soya.

Thank you. Please forgive me for not updating frequently.

Goodbye.

Edited: Forgot to mention previously, Happy 64th Month-Liversary my dear. *proceeds to emo because of being so far away from her...*

Long Time No See.

Since you guys have either been missing me much lately or got bored of images of architecture, hence upon your insistence, let me present to you, yours truly. With some one else as well.

The Greatest Gift of All.

You asked for it, hahaha. Now please stop shivering. To the girlfriend, hope you don't mind yah. And to Infectioner, there's no need for jealousy, your time will come.

You know what? I am enjoying these quick updates tremendously.

Love Me Long Time.

I seriously think that earphones hate me.

My second pair, the earpiece got wrangled/dismantled of the wiring because I was listening to one side while the other got stuck on the chair, between the elbow rest and the cushion. So, when I stood up, I kinda forced it off *Imagine head pulled off the body ala Happy Tree Friends* Ya lah, I know its totally my fault okay? Stupid chair. So sad can? It's a good earphone and it has served me well. R.I.P.

Well, that's the second pair gone and expect more to come, or go... *shops around for earphone... thinking of doing bulk buy*

And I think its time to revise my labels as well, too general now...

Singapore's National Day.

Singapore's National Day today, thus a public holiday. Me? I'm in the office, slaving it out for about 12 hours, as usual. I had to do a live streaming in order to view the fireworks display, even being in Singapore itself. Talk about irony. Maybe I should file a complaint to MoM. Hahaha.

I saw a lots of Singaporeans wearing a red or white tops, sort of like the national colour I guess. Do we have one? Oh, and their theme songs, very nice. *Googles*

Celebrations were at Marina Bay, on a floating stage. Hence the parade showcased the Army, the Navy well as the Air Force. Quite cool. I saw one of the rehearsals from afar once.

Fireworks remind me of my camera. I haven't touched it for like, the longest time ever. I miss taking pictures. Enough said.

2 Lines.

Made the difference. Remember back then when I ranted on how difficult it is to get on the shuttle bus to my office because everyone just gathers at one spot and tries to get onboard at the same time? No pushing or shoving, just a lot of cutting ins. It's like driving on a 8 lane highway then narrowed to 2 somewhere further, pure bottleneck/deadlock/whatever. Honestly, you need some skills (I've honed mine in KL) else be prepared to wait forever, or you could probably head out really, really, really early or really, really, really late. Really!

Being away at the client's site for close to a week, it was really surprising to see everyone in a queue waiting to board the bus the other morning. Like, some sort of enlightenment has decended upon them. *flute and harps being played in the background, bright light shining on everyone*

I later found out that 2 lines were taped on the pick-up point to enforce a line I guess, additionally, notices were placed on the buses advising passengers to queue. Simple implementation but effective. I'm impressed. Although the queue can get extremely long at times, at least no one's sticking to my back or slipping in front of me. Henceforth, I would be able to head to work a little happier. Amen.

National Museum of Singapore.

Got dragged to the museum by E as he insisted we should visit as many famous landmarks as possible before leaving Singapore for good *rolls eyes* Not that I have anything better to do that day anyway. That was sometime ago, before DS Lite came into the picture. You know what, wandering around aimlessly the other day, I saw a shop selling themed DS Lite kits, so nice can? One that really caught my attention was the Transformers kit, totally awesome but also really expensive. Oh well... I know, not related, just thought of sharing it out only. Now, have a look at the exterior.

National Museum of Singapore.

From another angle. In actual fact, when first arrive, we were pretty clueless and unsure whether we've reached the correct location, didn't really look much like a museum to me.

The sign which cleared our uncertainty.

Back to the museum, while admission into the building as well as selected exhibitions and theatres are free, the main sections, consisting of Historical as well as Living galleries, requires an admission free of SD$10.00 for a full-day access, which we found out later was dirt-cheap. Even before visiting the exhibits, we were already left in awe of the architecture alone, interior and exterior, fusion of modern simplicity with a detailed past. We went for the free exhibitions first, before moving on to the other galleries. Now, let's have a look at the interior first. Since I am particularly lazy today, I'll let the pictures do the talking instead.

Rotunda dome. No futher information, I just know the name.

The floating ring, supported by the continuous flow of pressurized air from above and below keeps the ring airborne. Actually, I just made that up. Its supported by thin lines of strings not visible in this image.

At certain duration of the day, the segment in the wall will function as a screen. Neat huh?

Modern simplicity...

With a touch of details from the past... The two images above are actually side by side, so you can notice a complementing yet distinct difference. Notice how one has a dark shade while the other a bright texture?

The Canyon. And again, I just know the name. Its a very nice place to take pictures ala camwhore.

Up until this point, I'm quite sure you're wondering why there are only pictures of the building, right? Simple, that's because cameras are off-limits in exhibition areas, I was already warned when walking into one holding the camera, even with the lense-cap intact. While the free stuff were kinda boring (some Archive in Motion: 50 Years thingy), the galleries were absolutely engaging. Upon entry, one will be equipped with a Companion which will guide you through the whole journey by entering a unique code attached to each section as well as every single exhibits for more information. Uber cool! It's like having a tour guide who knows every nook and corner of the Historical Gallery, on demand. In between some exhibits, there'll be small rooms showing movies or clips, just in case you got bored with all the reading and listening, not forgetting, the resting areas here and there.

Subjects cover from the founding of Singapore to the conquering, to the arrival of Chinese immigrants, to the assault during WWII, to Independence, to economic and political boom, its all in there. Honestly, one single day is not enough to even cover selected information from the gallery. Due to time constraint, we kinda rushed through the later part to make time for the other exhibitions as well. One was A Banquet in Stone, where famous/common dishes from around the world were replicated entirely only by using a variety of stones, amazingly realistic. Another four galleries showcased on topics regarding Fashion, Food, Photography and Film & Wayang. All in all, it was a very mind opening experience, so much absorbed and learned. It felt like a small kid visiting the museum for the first time all over again. Who knew a visit to the museum can be so rewarding, eh?

The Companion. Just key in the codes and press GO.

The Time Capsule that we only managed to notice on the way home. Funny to think that it was behind us all along when we were taking pictures initially, before entering the museum.

Wireless@SG.

This is so cool! I'm actually writing this in the outdoors at Raffles Place, just beside OUB Centre (according to my mobile, the exact location would be Clifford Center), with the cool evening breeze and the soft rays of the sunset around me. I feel one with mother nature. *prances around ala Sound of Music* Too bad I don't have my camera with me now.

Just so you know, this is possible because of Wireless@SG, a free broadband wireless service (but only up until 2009) available all around Singapore but not every single location lah. Click here for more info. And a big NO, I'm not working as a promoter for this service, nor am I getting any sort of incentive.

The only drawback from this would most probably be lack of privacy, and the occasional cigarette smoke.

How I wish the service's available around the area I live... Anyway, I think I've just truly experienced blogging-on-the-go. Woot!

Extreme.

I feel like doing something EXTREME right now, something out of the ordinary routine, just to let out the pent-up stress inside of me else I might just explode. Ka-Boom. Maybe I should type the blog in CAPS with MAXIMUM font size. Or run down 15 levels of stairs instead of taking the lift later, then run home from Raffles to Yew Tee. Or a movie marathon, there's so many I have yet to see. Else I can have buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.

That aside, I'm sure I'll think of something later, work has been pretty bad insane ridiculous fucked-up lately, with impossible datelines, some unreasonable colleagues, and a ludicrous Manager who thinks he can get everything done by saying please, like, 649 times. Not forgetting, he disapproved my leave as well, goodbye to a long holiday in KL. I think the most pleasant people to work with currently would be the client, which is funny, because its usually the other way round.

Tell you what, I'll be more than glad to sponsor the people who set the datelines for some decision making or reality facing crash courses because judging from the current situation, to be able to even get close to C in COMPLETION, is like wishing for a windfall in catching Alaskan King Crabs with small boat, in stormy seas plus 2 crews within a day. Make that a crew in half a day. On one side, valuable resources are being pulled out from the team and on the other side, more and more issues are being reported by the client. How is it even possible to think of making it, tell me, how? And I'm already working like from 9am to 8pm, continue upon reaching home, until 1-2am, then even on Saturdays. *casts Sacrifice*

Then some of the colleagues, fuh, this one pure drama one. Everything got, backstabbing, responsibility pushing, demanding, don't know what they doing, complaining, you name it! And I thought we were supposed to be working as a TEAM. We should be assisting one another, instead of just making sure that your work can be done faster by pushing others to complete their part because there are dependencies on your side, damn hate this kind of person, the complain about you for not practising teamwork, like, wtf can? I hope these kind of people get sent to the Moon to mine for moonstones and can never come back.

The clients are the best. I am not talking about the Manager because he makes me think about my disapproved leave, which gets me frustrated and disappointed at the same time.

Being me in this situation, is like when you play RTS games, where you have the important but taken for granted peasant doing resource gathering and building, well, I'm the peasant. You're stucked to your job (gathering, building), you don't get much protection or resisting power from attackers (the client) and the army is faraway in war, ignoring you until the base is attacked (management). I should go fishing. Sometimes, its just not rewarding enough to work this hard, sigh...

High School Musical.

Watched in on TV the other day, totally hooked. Yes, I know I'm like, late for, perhaps a full year? Even the second season is out now, if I'm not mistaken. Got laughed at by the girlfriend. Sien.

Something New.

Breaking Free.

MPV in Cheras.

Only a short absence from blogging and I already find myself having difficulties in expressing my thoughts, unable to pen them down as effortlessly as I used to. For this line itself, I rewrote it almost 17 times.

OH – AM – GEE!

Anyway, on the weekend I was back in KL, Dad suggested lunch (after my Bak Kut Teh breakfast that is, BRING IT ON!) at MPV Seafood restaurant, an eatery co-owned by someone he met during his occasional morning networking-walks, located just a stone's throw away from home. Curious on how the name came about, we seeked for an answer which the ladyboss casually mentioned it's referring to your Master, Platinum and Visa cards. Hahaha. Wait, thinking back, maybe she wasn't joking. I tell you, the restaurant is like a Feng Shui house, you see ornaments and small statues and figurines here and there, some even filled with coins. So, four dishes were ordered as I once and again mentioned that I had a heavy breakfast. The thing about Dad is, if not surpressed, will most probably go into an order frenzy mode *cast berserk*.

So, in the end, the decision was for a Stir-Fried Fish Slices with Ginger and Spring Onions, Prawns in Superior Soy Sauce, Stir-Fried Vegetables and Steamed Tofu topped with Fried Spring Onions. Fuh, maybe I can consider a career in menu writing and become so good in it that I'll be invited to write menus worldwide. *totally admires self* Obsessed in the world of DS, I didn't pay much attention to Sis and Dad discussing about a new dish because the fish cannot make it, I mean, there were some issues about the fish. They settle for some weird-clamish seafood dish that's pretty huge, sliced into thin layers. Can either be eaten raw (which sucks big time) or cooked in a specially prepared Soup (herbal with vegetables and beancurd). I think the time and technique in cooking this clamish thingy is pretty similar to beef slices, too quick, its raw but too long, the texture becomes hard.

The Weird-Clamish-Thingy which most of its meat, spread across the ice, already eaten. You can still see some in its shell. Taken with the gf's NEW phone, with superior 3.0MP camera compared to my museum worthy 1.3MP, interpolated.

The soup, like steamboat hoh? Not to be drank straight, a little too salty for my liking.

The white-ish thingy below the vegetable and with a 'Kei Zi' on top of it is one of the slices. Shrunk after cooking. Well, just so you know, 'Kei Zi' is good for your eyes, but eating too much will cause heatiness. Its sweet tasting.

The HUGE prawn. I purposely maximize the angle t compare the length of the fork with ze prawn, which is only like the length of its head. Even its legs contained meat! Fuh-Wah! Pity the gf cannot eat prawns, He-He-He.

Its a pretty expensive meal, with the bill coming around RM 400++, like, 50% of my DS, inclusive of all the taxes and service charges, as the weird-clamish thing was blood-sucking, that alone set us back about RM 250+. The prawns, RM 40 each, because its like, HHHUUGGGGEEEEEEE! Which indirectly means higher cholesterol intake... *looks at own self* I think I should go jog. All in all, its a pretty good (but expensive, again I have to stress) place to dine, friendly ladyboss, good service, great food. After completing this post, I seriously feel that all the fats I manage to shake off in SG are regained (possibly even more) when I return to KL, once in a while, for the weekends.
