The Götheborg, a wooden sailship. Her anchor can own you anytime.
Found these in my gallery. Was wandering aimlessly in VivoCity, headed out to catch some fresh air, and I spotted the Götheborg, which was on its 7th Leg stop in Singapore (obviously). In case you didn't know, the plan was to have Götheborg sail her original voyage, something along the line. The "discovery" was totally unexpected and being the perfectly "kam-siap" (stingy) person that I am, I didn't board the sailship because there were some entrance fees imposed. Perfectly understandable right? Right? Do agree with me, please?
For more information of the Götheborg and her revival project, please click here because any further elaboration from me would be nothing more than plagiarising the content off other's information. Thank you.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find a location to fit everything in.
Side view from the back.
Side view from the front.
View from the back, the stern. Guess the country.
A side view of the forecastle of the Götheborg.
The fore-mast, main-mast and the mizzen-mast.
The anchor. Anchors are pretty much still in use by modern ships.
A close-up of the fore-mast. Kinda reminded me of Pirates of the Carribean.
And finally, a sillouhuette.
