cannot woh. so how?

Bad news! Still can't load the login component for Blogger, must be the bad karma from referring to June as an Aunty. Similar occurences when I tried accessing with other browsers; shall try configuring the modem next. Since I was pretty frustrated from all the failed attempts yesterday, I gave up and went mapled instead. It's all your fault pOp for causing me to maple again...

I kinda forgotten then the s!mple one tagged me the other day, so here goes:

She said,'Reveal six (6) random things about yourself' and I said,'Don't want ak!' and she proceeded to threaten me that if I do as told, she will release the infectioner out into the world. For the love of all, I shall oblige...

  1. I listen to Mandarin songs, and sometimes, I even sing them but in actual fact, I do not know what it means... certified banana dot com.
  2. I'm a hot-tempered person though I may not look so.
  3. I've worn a Sari (traditional costume for female Indians) before, for a drama assignment in Uni. Very difficult to put on, trust me.
  4. Noisy children drive me nuts.
  5. I have problems socializing with people that I meet for the first time, most probably because I'm shy. Once I get to know you better, you'll regret approaching me at first.
  6. I did not sleep for three (3) days once. Why? Blame Neverwinter Nights.

No one, I tag. Freedom, I shall give. To me, power.

coffee bean, SS2...

31st of August was spent catching up with fellow friends in SS2 PJ; Coffee Bean being the designated location. The girlfriend drove, but could not remember the way. Hard to blame her since she's always dozing off in the passenger's seat when I drove instead of recognizing the roads. In fact I should be glad that she never doze off in the driver's seat, right? Cheers! As usual we're the earliest there, June was late because of Eddy and Eddy was late because he was stalking children dressing up for some competition in 1 Utama. The Lady was late because... because... she's always late. Haha.

the girlfriend's hot chocolate, shaken, not stirred

ice-blended some malibu something, ish, really seem to be losing my memory, always ordering something without remembering the name. Help!

chocolate chip muffin

Until informed by her, I never knew that planning and taking wedding photos at some particular name-not-to-be-mentioned-here bridal shops like Ivory Romance could be such a pain in the ass (and wallet). Though I've known some not-so-good incidents through Eddy's site, nothing beats the details from the girl's side of the story. Same applies to me and the girlfriend, she's a better storyteller. Along the way, Eddy educated me based on his personal experience on the difference between "engaged" and "registered". Thanks to him, I am now fully aware and will not be trapped into jotting the signature like he did. Oppsss...

this is me, i don't remember why I was doing that @ Eddy who was taking the photo

the girlfriend

Lady Late *quick, hide me before its too late...*

June "Hans" Auntie, I'm assisting you to get used to it, hahaha! On the bright side, it might be Pretty Auntie!

Eddy "Hans" Solo... you did not just see a hand grabbing his breast chest, its an optical illusion

All of us

Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, the lesson from this entry will be not to simply pen your signature...

i shall sleep...

I just got home. Its 11.45pm now. Initial blog plan screwed. Therefore will post something random. Then go sleep. Great idea. Enjoy!

From: pOp's site
To: Everyone

"Hope you guys can pass this around. Any publicity is good publicity in times like these:

Hope you guys don't mind me taking a minute or so off your time here, but I have some urgent news. My girlfriend Grace's uncle, who unfortunately suffers from memory loss has been missing for two days and we need help in looking for him.

Hopefully you guys could help out and spread the news via our blogs and via PPS so we could at least have more people on the lookout. And I don't think I managed to include all of your emails in here, so please, if I missed anyone please forward this around the blogosphere as well, to whoever you may know who may be willing to help.

Yee Hou agrees that spreading the news via the blogosphere would be good, and if you guys have anymore suggestions, please feel free to tell me and I will convey them to Grace's family. (since anything we do might end up as more of a predicament than a helping hand, even if we do mean well) Hopfully I didn't hit you guys at a busy spell or something, as I myself (and Grace) have yet to complete our trials and I know how it feels to have interruptions like these.

The required information lies below, and the contact as well. I attached his picture to the email as well. I hope you guys can lend me a hand here, as obviously this isn't child's play."

Age : 54 years old
Height : 5'9" or 185cm
He was last seen wearing long pants and a striped shirt; on the day he went missing.
Contact: 016-3228101 (Mr. Teoh)

Just like that...
In case you did not know, which I doubt so, the infamous Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin has passed away, succumbing to injuries caused by a stingray bard which pierced him badly. For more details, click here. Gone is a legend of the documentary world, who in continuous effort had brought us vast knowledge from the animal kingdom. RIP. Seems like peeps in msn are putting icons of turtles as a way of expressing their condolences to the hunter...

of food and cars...

Last Saturday, the girlfriend was recommending this particular cafe in Taman Shamelin to have lunch. Knowing her, I did a triple confirmation with her that she knows the exact location and how to get there. I got a positive return. Later, I knew that it was too good to be true when we starting making rounds looking for the place; but still, credits to her for being able to spot it eventually. In cantonese, the cafe's named "but kin, but san" which means there's no parting without meeting; very meaningful but the in english, it's de' western range. Rosak.

the cute-sie shop logo and name

shop-deco. I heart the deco on the ceiling...

the girlfriend's order, some fish thingy. Sorry, she order I dun remember

my macau burger, huge serving + fries... yummy!

additional dish of fried potato skin with chicken and mushroom. according to the girlfriend, it's a must try thingy, so I tried loh... naish, but a little salty for me

The price, if compared to many other cafe that I've been to, is cheaper, although not on a very significant value. After gobbling up the food, we headed home as the place was a little tad noisy for us to chat the afternoon away.

NEXT
Yesterday, the girlfriend and I went to the garage of Tiong Nam Motors (they have a Perodua Service Center in Jalan Ipoh which is where I have my second wife serviced, recommended!) in Jalan Segambut to settle some insurance claim stuff. In case you never realize, click here. Upon reacing there, we saw B, who was previously working in the Jln Ipoh Service Center. The girlfriend and I thought that he resigned or was fired, mana tau was actually promoted to the garage as a claims executive liao. We once saw him in GSC Leisure Mall, but was doubting it was the exact person; so, our uncertainty was confirmed yesterday, he did saw us as well. What a small world.

the girlfriend's second husband got abused for not giving enough moolahs for house expenditures

Another angle...

It will be a while before the second husband will recover from this traumtic experience of being abused. The girlfriend is currently driving the second wife of some individuals but not to worry, one female to another can compromise easily...

49 years...

The clock stroke midnight, and I could hear loud thundering of fireworks in a distance. The celebration signals another year of independence has passed, bringing the grand total to 49 years, a year short to half a century. Taking a stroll down at Dataran Merdeka will lead you to throngs of people, many consisting of the younger generations, hollering "Merdeka!" at the top of lungs. How many really meant it, I do not know as they're more likely celebrating the holiday rather than the independence. Taking all these "fakes" away, the field might only narrow down to a few dozens of those who had experienced it all, repeating "Merdeka!" with tears rolling down...

49 years of independence...

49 years ago, Malaysians gathered at Stadium Merdeka, to celebrate the formation of Malaysia; a day of pride for Malaysians. Patrioism was at its height, people were proud as they were finally a nation of their own...
49 years later, we see Malaysians shouting a meaningless "Merdeka" at the local pub or club, dancing the night away, drinking like a maniac. They later proceed to drive home drunk only to be stopped by a road block, and was fined for the offence. Finally awaken the next day, they wrote about how they were ill-treated by the officers and proceeded to post it for the whole world to see...

49 years ago, our forefathers worked their ass off, helping the government realize the dream of building a better future...
49 years later, we see the current generation complaining on the foundation built by their forefathers...

49 years ago, Malaysians communicate with their friends and families through letters and an occasional phone call or telegrams. At that time, a picture does tell a thousand words...
49 years later, we hear people complaining about poor broadband service, while concurrently opening 3 P2P programs, chatting with dozens of people, running a video call and a voice call while sending e-mails. Might even be sending an sms though the mobile...

49 years ago, people were cycling or walking to their destination under the hot humid sun. Along the way, they might stop at the roadside stall to have "Ice Shavings" or "Ice Balls" to cool of the heat while chatting away with an unknown stranger...
49 years later, people are complaining about the quality of their local rides, cursing at the traffic congestion and giving finger gestures to drivers who does not possess driving skills that are similar to them. Drivers park at the roadside obstructing traffic while having a glass of teh tarik at the local mamak...

49 years ago, the education system/backbone has yet to be formed.
49 years later, schools and universities has been built in abundant by the government to educate and bestow knowledge to the younger generations. Smart School projects were implemented and billions of ringgit are allocated for education from the budget. The outcome? We have the infamous "some universtiy's canteen ruckus", bullies, fights, riots, so on and so forth... not forgetting to mention umemployed graduates on the rise...

49 years of independence...
