bak kut t.e.h.

Sat night :: 06.05.06

Earlier, earlier, earlier on; me, pOp and my somehow managed to hook each other up on msn to discuss bout a mini reunion dinner with a few friends. After much, much argument, spamming and flaming, we decided to have a bak kut teh dinner :: with pOp suggesting a place in Pandan Indah (which actually is supposed to be Pandan Jaya) cause it was special-ler there. my, being the PR of the group, proceeded PR-ing ppl to come for the dinner... and thus, the plan proceeded...

Upon reaching the destination, pOp commented that I was driving too slow... #%*@#^!*$ you! Not only did he not slow down to wait for me, flame me summore! kanasai! Lan Si! Will flame him again later. Anyways, those present on that day were (in no particular order) :: me, mun yee, pOp, my, wy, mw, ll, and joe. Dinner is served ::

pOp going through the "take food pic(s) before eating even though very hungry" ritual

"dau kok" rice :: although it looks kinda disgusting, trust me, its a must try :: deceiving, looks can be... young one

yau char kuay and vege :: the amount of yau char kuay consumed by us that day can make anyone unable to orgasm for a week , about 9 bowls...

The Bak Kut Teh coming in "dan jung :: traditional pressure steamer" rather than a claypot, special leh :: damn kao with herbal taste

Don't wait for Chinese New Year :: everybody, let's eat!!!

happy and satisfied customers :: near orgasmic meal!

After our hearty mail, we manage to catch up and update with each other after some time. my will be graduating and joining the unemployment "sector" (just kidding lar!!!). wy will be heading overseas for a study stint. Some are doing quite well, others are looking for better prospects. pOp is getting married :: just kidding!!! All in all, its good to see everyone enjoying and living their life to the fullest...

It's really kinda hard to believe that it has already been a while since graduation from secondary school (heck, even graduated from UNi liao!!!). Seems like it was just yesterday that we were gathering for assembly and singing Negaraku half-heartedly together. I guess when others say, time passes by so quickly, it is so, so true. Well, take a good luck back at those good old times, look ahead and move forward to other challenges awaiting us in life...

Down the road, hopefully we will all still be meeting up and have another round of mini-gathering! Love y'all and take care!

- end -

truth of the day :: you can never run out of blogs to read...

prancing h.o.r.s.e.s.

Ferrari & Micheal Schumacher has did it once again. With precise, strategic planning and implementation, Schumey won the race, ahead of Fernando Alonso of Renault who started @ pole. Heck, even Felipe Massa was able to maintain his starting grid position @ 3rd to make it a 1-3 finish for Ferrari :: thus, bringing them ahead of McLaren in the Constructors! Look out Renault, the Scarlett are prancing!

9 cars retired from the race and the safety car was deployed once.
For more information regarding the race @ Nurburgring, visit the Official Formula 1 website.

Jed's driver of the day :: Nico Rosberg of Williams.
Due to an engine change, Nico was penalized and dropped 10 slots in starting grid; therefore, beginning the raced in slot 22nd (the final one). He was, however, able to make a comeback and finished with points :: in 7th position. Bravo!

- the following part are totally unrelated -

Headed to Leong Ya :: the one opposite Serdang KTM Komuter station for lunch on Saturday afternoon after an appointment in Cyberjaya.

Did you know ::
There a actually quite a number of Leong Ya(s) located within the Balakong/Serdang area itself.
One of the significant trademark of the restaurant :: other than their food :: will be their pink plastic covered tables (easier to maintain, beats tables clothes).

So, I ordered 2 pieces their famous "Paper Wrapped Chicken :: Zee Bau Kai", 1 stir fried vege (KaiLan), and Six (6) pieces of Yong Tau Foo :: complimentary items were white rice and drinks (Bak Jee Chou, iced). As usual, the special dish is definitely the Paper Wrapped Chicken and indeed, it never fail to appease my taste buds.

Clockwise from top-left: White Rice (kinda dry), Drinks (kinda sweet), Vege (kinda salty), Yong Tau Foo.

The ever delicious Zee Bau Kai!!! Yummies!!! The Satisfied Customer cleans every bits of his order!

Apologies as the pictures are not that clear, was taken using my phone... The bill sums up to RM14.80, which is quite reasonable. In case you're wondering, I was indeed eating alone. Think twice and think again if you're planning to treat me to a meal, cause I can eat!!!!!

no s.k.i.l.l.z.

a little aftermath of today's storm @ housing area around Damansara Intan (between SS2 & SS17)

Unaware of such a heavy downpour + strong winds... I was astounded to see the aftermath of the storm... trees were uprooted, traffic & electric poles were blown away, zinc roof blown away... damage was at its optimum...
It caused traffic to crawl back miles and miles away... and unfortunately, I was without camera... dang!

In a seperate disasterous event :: SmashpOp insisted on watching UltraViolet even after much x 913644588547821365475574 persuasion from me not to do so :: what could me more disastrous than that?!?!?!?!

- the following part are totally unrelated -

My attempt @ mahjong after quite an absence (since CNY2006 I think). Practically, I was noobiez and without any skillz once again... sadz. As we're playing "3 kah", I totally had no idea how to count "farn" at all... dang!

In case you did not know (diam pOp! I know you know!) ::
Mahjong can also be played with only 3 individuals *pause* if you have no idea what Mahjong is, go figure. As opposed to the original 4 person (of north, south, east and west), a 3 player game requires the accumulation of "farn" (some sort of point system) to reach a particular level before gaming/winning. The more, the better but there will be a limit of 10 "farns". A 3 person game is a lot faster in terms of game speed, which means that when you're on a winning streak, you rock! and vice versa...

Since we kinda gila already, we Mahjong marathon-ed for close to 5 hours, close to 65 games were played. Talk about commitment...

Noobiez player like me can be identified easily... always got "support" players around... hahaha!

bad tiles day... very bad! Or maybe its just me...

Aku menang! Aku menang weh! 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,tung,tung leh! but actually ngam, ngam cukup "farn" only, I think...

We were so dedicated and committed in the game that the spirit of mahjong decided to appear and join us... the spirit caused the picture to be distorted...

I am boh l.i.a.o.

Before going into the actual topic, I came across something very interesting today:

This is Chia Sheng Sin, dozing off during a movie I was watching. He lives somewhere near Leisure Mall, Cheras. No girlfriend yet.

The following news was extracted from thestar.com.my today:
" It was halfway through the movie Election 2 at the Cheras Leisure Mall at 1pm when Chia (Chia Seng Chin) told the girlfriend he wanted to take a nap and to wake him up later."
(Deepest condolences to Mr. Chia)

Kinda spooky, isn't it???

On Sunday morning, due to being too boh liao :: I drove a total of 164km, all the way up to Gopeng in Perak. The main purpose of the drive is actually to send YC (for those who dunno who YC is, scroll down a bit) home :: very kesian her because cannot get bus ticket. So, being the super-gentleman I am (Come to think of it, not only that I am boh liao, I am actually very boh liao), I decided to send her back, since I got nothing much to do anyway.

I did mention before that I enjoy driving freely along highways... these are the reasons why:

Very very calm road in Gopeng

Although drive quite long liao, the roads are still very very calm in Gopeng

Finally, some other vehicles were caught on sight...

Moving out of Gopeng :: the lush jungle scene of the unexplored Semenanjung. This is why we should put our united strength to protect mother nature from further harm.
