Merry Christmas.

Somehow, this time around, Christmas celebrations involved much more beer/alcohol consumption than all the previous years combined. I see a massive Black Hole rapidly forming in my wallet because the wife enjoys drinking too but is a better drinker and I pay for us. I think I am in dire need of a drinking fund. And the bulge (beer belly) is making me feel worse. I need a drink.

Hence, from this day forth, I vow to drink less beer!

And go for liquor instead! Cheersss!!! *hic*

Merry Christmas y'all! Hope you had a blasting one and if not, there's still the New Year! Image taken from either the 2nd or 3rd level of Pavilion many, many, many days back.

Winter Solstice.

Happy Winter Solstice (DongZhi) Festival! Nothing beats homemade tangyuans (glutinous rice balls) in sweet ginger soup - wait, its not exactly soup but more like a liquid base or something like that. I like mine small and plain, no fillings please. Yums!

I Hereby Declare.

That I shall never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever patronize or even step into the Sakae Sushi store in Leisure Mall ever, ever, ever, ever, ever again because on one fateful Saturday that Jacklyn insisted on dining there for lunch since its new, even though I was totally against it:

1. We were informed that their kitchen (non conveyor belt items) is yet to be ready for orders and it was already around 30 minutes to noon. Fine.

2. The employee was unable to inform us the exact time we can start ordering and said that he would inform us once the kitchen is prepared to take orders. Fine.

3. Noon. Fine.

4. Grab hold of an employee to inquire on kitchen's status and was informed that we could start ordering. Fine. Orders made.

5. 4 cups of green tea later, requested for an employee to check on the status of my order. 10 minutes later, requested for another employee to check on the status of my order. Coming soon. Fine.

6. After 45 minutes of waiting, my Chicken Sukiyaki finally arrived and it looks like this! Not fine!

This is what the Sakae Sushi branch @ Cheras Leisure Mall calls a Chicken Sukiyaki. I do not know what you think but to me, might as well just call it Chicken "Pot of Left Overs" Sukiyaki.

Oh, and this is how it looks like in their menu, image taken from their website here.

Not only that, Jacklyn's Chawanmushi was bland and cold! CHAWANMUSHI! COLD! Honestly, I do feel cheated but I wasn't bothered to lodge any complaints nor provide any feedback because I know nothing will come out of it since it is stated clearly on their website that, "We serve only what we eat". Hence my declaration as my guess would be, such (trashy food) is pretty normal to them.

Weeeee...

Lightbox is now available in this blog, finally! Yes, I do know that it has been around for quite sometime but I wasn't really sure how and where to host the script files (and I admit that I was lazy as well). But now, much thanks to Brian Abella for hosting them files, it is finally alive! Hopefully, I no longer have to crop vertical images or re-size them drastically to fit in the post body. Don't you just love technology (software)?

Christmas Came Early.

In the office, candies galore! The green colored candy you see in the middle, I tell you, this thing is so solid that it might just smash through your windscreen if thrown at. Trust the guy who can break the claws of meat crabs with a bite and chew sugar canes effortlessly.

All I want for Christmas is a free dental consultation, a free dental consultation, a free dental consultation...

Say Again?

Informed the security personnel manning the front desk politely that the elevator I was traveling in hit something on the 13th floor, resulting a loud bang, vibrated violently and then stopped for a few seconds before proceeding down again.

You know what he replied?

That he knew about it and that particular lift often have such issues. It's a norm, he had to add in.

Needless to say, I gave him a piece of my mind, one that intimidated him so much that he went onto his knees to beg for forgiveness.

Just kidding.

But I do hope that he really meant it when he mentioned that he'll bring the matter up to his superiors. Perhaps I should follow up with the management tomorrow, just to be sure.

So the next time you're taking a lift servicing Level G to Level 15 in the Gardens South Tower, just be reminded to say a quick prayer before getting into one. Lady Luck might just happened to be slightly occupied that day.

Signs 2?

I had another dream this morning, that Jacklyn was pregnant.

And I got to know about the news from others via Facebook or Twitter updates, couldn't recall which medium exactly, instead of hearing it in person from Jacklyn.

Should really start cutting down time spent in these Online Social Networking Sites...

p/s: According to Jacklyn, I was more terrified than happy of this dream. Not ready, she concludes.
