The second time that we ate here was a disastrous affair. To sum things up, it was expensive and unappetizing. One fine Saturday night, we decided to give it a try once more, how often do you make the wrong choice of dishes can you make from the same restaurant anyway. And that was when the nightmare began... no lah, just exaggerating.
Ma-Po Tofu (in the menu, it states Tofu in Sze-Chuan style). Its supposed to be pretty sour and spicy but it tasted like diluted Tom Yam soup. Gross.
One of the better dishes. Wong Jau Kai (Chicken in Yellow Wine, I think), was quite good when still hot, yums.
Stir Fried vegetables with Mushroom.
Deep Fried Baby Sotong. It tasted weird, salty with a tinge of sweetness ala NanoNano. Then, the texture was hard and dry but not crunchy, even to chew properly was a difficult task. Imagine that.
Hence, it was later decided that the very next time we come back here, we would place orders for dishes that's exactly as the first time. Amen.
